Working outside in the open air in high temperatures, especially in the special events industry, requires careful planning and preparation to ensure both the success of the event and the well-being of everyone involved. 3 favourite tips from our community to consider for your event space that can really make the event day more enjoyable:

Hydration is Key: Ensure there are ample supplies of water readily available for everyone involved, including staff, volunteers, and attendees. Consider setting up hydration stations with cool water and electrolyte drinks. 💧

Shade Stations: Create shaded areas where people can take breaks from the sun. This can include tents, umbrellas, or shaded seating areas. Make sure these areas are easily accessible and strategically located throughout the event space. ⛱️

Cooling Stations: Consider setting up misting stations or providing handheld fans to help keep people cool. These can be particularly effective in high-traffic areas or near stages. ☀️

Timing, monitoring weather conditions, proper training, working equipment and communication are also key to review pre-event to make the day a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone attending or working in hotter temperatures. Stay cool out there! 😎

As we begin wrapping one our favourite client events celebrating International Women’s Day, as a women led business, we are reflecting on why celebrating International Women’s Day each year is meaningful to us. The social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women are celebrated at various events around the world for International Women’s Day. These events often serve as platforms for raising awareness about gender equality, women’s rights, and issues affecting women globally. They help educate communities and promote understanding of the challenges women face. 💞

Some of our most impactful fundraisers have utilized technology. Engaging the audience for a successful bidding process. A few key points and strategies to consider when maximizing the bidding process with technology:

• Know Your Audience: Understand the demographics, interests, and preferences of your audience. Tailor your fundraising efforts to resonate with them.

• Create Compelling Content: Develop visually appealing materials such as print materials, presentations, and videos that highlight the cause you’re supporting and the impact of donations and incorporate into various technology channels.

• Online Bidding Platforms: Utilize online platforms or mobile apps to facilitate bidding, allowing attendees to participate remotely or during the event. Make sure the platform is user friendly and known to attendees.

• Recognition And Incentives: Offer recognition to donors, such as naming opportunities or acknowledgment in event materials. Provide incentives like exclusive experiences for top donors and showcase them via technology leading up to the big date!

By implementing these and more strategies, you can create an engaging audience experience, maximizing participation and fundraising outcomes for any kind of fundraising!
