Hey everyone! 👋

There are some new faces around here & it’s been a while since I’ve said hi! So hello, hi!

I feel incredibly lucky to capture some of the most precious moments in people’s lives, from the intimate, candid moments of a wedding day to the everyday joys of life.

Photography, to me, is more than just taking pictures; it’s about connecting with people, understanding their stories, and reflecting those stories through my work. I believe in creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience for my clients, ensuring that their true personalities shine through in every shot.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m happily married to my amazing husband, and together we share our home with two little fur babies who keep us entertained and full of love. 🤍

When I photographed and edited this engagement session, my immediate thought was "omg I love these deep greens, this is one of my favourite sessions." And then I thought about all the things I love about all different sessions in different seasons. It made me think, if only we could stop and see all the different things we love about all different seasons of our lives so that even when things don't always go according to plan, there is still something worth loving about the season were in.

I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner because it doesn’t feel like Christmas at all around here; there is no snow & it’s incredibly mild for December in Edmonton.

Often times when a family reaches out for maternity and newborn photos and they already have a little babe, they are stressed that the photo session will not go smoothly. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I am just here to say, follow your little's lead. It is true, they have a very small span within photos, and they are absolutely over it within a few minutes of beginning. So follow their lead, let them guide you, to show you around, if they love playing Eye-Spy, play that with them, and then your session naturally unfold.

Also, bribing with treats does in fact work!

This past year, many of my couples have decided to have a "social minute" at their ceremony instead of a completely "unplugged" ceremony, and here's why!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Having an unplugged ceremony has become incredibly popular, and for good reason. Couples want their guests to be present during their ceremony and not distracted on their phones taking photos. Additionally, for the sake of their photos & photographer. There is nothing like having someones phone out in the aisle ruining the photo! Most times its possible to remove from the photo, but not always.

With a "social minute" this allows for all your guests to take a minute to pull out their phones, sometimes iPad's, lol, and take photos of the bride and groom at the alter. Guests are there to share in your love, and them wanting to take photos is just their way of being excited and capturing that.

This seems to be the best of both worlds! If you're considering having an unplugged ceremony, consider adding this as well!

Can you tell this is a winter wedding!? ​​​​​​​​​It was chilly, but also incredibly stunning. Winter weddings with photos on the beach, absolutely underrated! Just a little bit of snow would have made these all the more magical!
