The Hare is a symbol of love, fertility, precocity and growth. Associated with the moon & supernatural inklings. Lessons of hare & rabbit are to acknowledge and let go of fears [that no longer serve] in order to stand in your true creative vitality. They’re also just such cute creature kin! 🐰

Wild rose tincture {made with brandy} combined with wild rose infused honey .::. Both infused with rose quartz! Each ✨charmed✨1 oz. green glass dropper vial contains a precious little wild rose bud and 3 small rose quartz crystals- all cleansed and charged ofcourse. Such a magical and uplifting medicine for light joyous hearts to blossom. 🌸🗝💌

~ seems like a lovely time to reminisce about this piece- in the wake of the summer solstice and recent solar eclipse! 💥
Fiery orange and red zinnia blooms activate the centre of an artful matrix at the top of a small hummock hill at Assiniboine park, Winnipeg. A piece created as the Artist in residency at Assiniboine park- 2018. 🍃Representing a woven nest, crown, offering to the native pollinators and embedded with the runic symbol ‘Gebo’ {representing divine gifts and union with spirit} the six points of the hexagonal sculpture reach up to the physical and etherial realms of the sky and mirror the shape of comb cells and pollen seen on a micro scale.✨

Celebrating the life force of nature!

I’ve been feeling all kinds of gratitude as I witness the bright green with pops of colour come into being in these boReal woodlands. Literally in the last couple of days the leaves and first blossoms have vigorously burst open- my heart bursting open right along with them... So much reciprocal love!

This lively Offering // Earthen Alter was created from these sentiments as I engaged in my cyclical New Moon intension setting and spell work. Everything seen here was collected, wild foraged and arranged from my forest findings today- with thanks and offerings of my hair and many kisses! 😙🌬

Where rushing water meets ancient rock is one of my favourite places. Both grounding and fluid, fast moving rapids and falls emit a lively energizing flow accompanied by fresh oxygenated air! Ahhhmazing- so purifying this breath of the wild. ✨🤲🏼✨

Thinking back to last fall, when the team ventured to Cedar lake ranch to engage in a day of down to earth professional development— learning traditional Indigenous ways. It was a beautiful experience connecting with knowledge keepers, the land, and my co-worker friends. I count my lucky stars that I have a work place family that values wholistic growth on so many levels... we’re keeping connected through the inter-webs but I’m certainly missing the lively Art City community that’s for sure!
~
📍 On that note :: Art City would currently be in full throttle prepping for our OUT OF THIS WORLD annual FUNdraiser bash if it weren’t for the circumstances at hand. My at home apothecary is bustling!✨
I’ve strained my golden balm of Gilead, and have poplar buds, calendula flowers and mugwort infusing in precious oils as well. Variations of my medicinal mushroom + root elixir is always on the go! AND I made a new moon healing salve that I’ve named ‘Venus Rising’ ~
✨{( ✧ ♀ ✧ )}✨made with all sorts of delicious botanicals n’ things including cacao butter, 3 year infused frankincense oil and an array of elating essential oils. 🤩 Next up... Chocolate alchemy :: with my fresh poplar bud infused honey, bee propolis and pine pollen- just in time for Friday :: Venus day! Venus is in Gemini currently- Gemini being my moon and ascendant, so I’m quite pleased with that energy right now. Bless it all to high heaven I say! 🙌🏼

After drawing a big spiral in the cool sand with our bare feet and offering to***co to the prayer flag trees at what we call ‘Poplar Portal’, Jasper found a hawk feather and I found a tiny cocoon encasing that a butterfly had already emerged from. Mmm... such a beauty~full day //

Pots of the most beautiful healing honey I know and the brightest batch thus far! This sweet medicine from the trees and the bees is one of my favourites :: wild foraged poplar bud infused prairie honey, slow infused with just a touch of warmth. I have a few pots to offer up ~ $26 each (236 ml pot) adorned with my real leaf stamp and tiny glass rhinestones. ✨

Poplar buds have a medicinal wealth of salicin, a natural form of ‘aspirin’ which has pain relieving qualities and anti-inflammatory properties. It has long been used traditionally to treat skin and lung ailments and is great remedy to regulate congestion in the body. You can use it anyway you please for well being however...
I simply stir the honey in my tea to enjoy the sweet rich flavour. This time around we used fresh raw honey from our friends over at ✨👌🏼 🐝
I am so excited about this beauty~full medicine, made with the utmost love and care from start to finish. Also my spirited son Jasper helped me throughout the process which has felt extra special in all truth. After all, buds are like the trees sweet little children which are ready to grow and thrive. 💫👼🏻
