In an effort to give food to people in our community fairly and safely, Clare Share Fridge Communautaire will be launching a pilot food-distribution system. Households needing food assistance are invited to sign up for a food box, which will be available for pick-up on June 12 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall (9650 Highway 1, Saulnierville). No unannounced drop-ins, please! Only households on the list will be eligible for a food box.🍎

Dans le but de donner de la nourriture aux gens de notre communauté de façon équitable et sécuritaire, Clare Share Fridge Communautaire lancera un système pilote de distribution de nourriture. Our Clare for the Holidays Christmas Eve meal was an amazing show of community support and spirit! Together, we prepared and served 550 meals on-site, by take-out and by delivery. All told, that’s 32 turkeys, 150 lb of potatoes, 100 lb of carrots, 250 lb of apples and close to 50 volunteers!

We wanted to take a moment to thank all those who made our community meal possible. To the folks who took time out of the busy holiday season to help, THANK YOU. And a big thank-you, as well, to the businesses, organizations and institutions below that contributed towards this initiative. We can’t wait to do it again next year. Kindness is truly contagious ❤️

Notre repas du 24 décembre Clare for the Holidays a été une formidable démonstration du soutien et de l'esprit de la communauté! Ensemble, nous avons préparé et servi 550 repas sur place, à emporter et à livrer. En tout, cela représente 32 dindes, 150 livres de patates, 100 livres de carottes, 250 livres de pommes et près de 50 bénévoles !

Nous tenons à prendre un moment pour remercier tous les gens qui ont rendu possible ce repas communautaire. Aux personnes qui ont pris le temps de nous aider pendant la période chargée des fêtes, MERCI. Et un grand merci également aux entreprises, organisations et institutions ci-dessous qui ont contribué à cette initiative. Nous avons hâte de répéter l'expérience l'année prochaine. Les bonnes volontés sont vraiment contagieuses ❤️

This Thanksgiving weekend, our Chef Shane Robicheau cooked up something soup-er for the community fridge: 100 portions of squash soup! We will be adding them to the fridge in batches in the upcoming weeks. It takes a community to keep this fridge running, from the folks who donate food and funds to the volunteers who keep our facility stocked and clean. Thank you to everyone who has made this project possible.

Note: To make sure we help as many families as we can, we ask that you please take only what you NEED from the community fridge.

Ce week-end de l'Action de grâce, le chef Shane Robicheau a préparé quelque chose de très soupe-er pour notre fridge communautaire: 100 portions de potage à la courge! Nous les ajouterons graduellement au frigo dans les semaines à venir. Il faut une communauté pour faire fonctionner le fridge, que ce soit les gens qui contribuent par des dons de nourriture et d'argent ou les bénévoles qui stockent et nettoient notre installation. Merci à toutes les personnes qui rendent ce projet possible.
