I’m curious, are you making a registry? A lot of people opt to either not put a registry together or just have a cash fund. I mean really, most guests want to just put some cash in your card and be done with it. And hey, that’s great!

But for those of you making a registry, is it because you want to or is it because you feel like you have to?

I always have the wedding party lead guests to cocktail hour 🍸

After the recessional, I task the wedding party with going straight to the bar. Tough job I know. This in hopes that guests see people:
🦋going in the direction of Cocktail Hour
🦋getting a drink from the bar and want one too
🦋signing the guestbook and putting their card in
Guest transfer can take longer and be more confusing than you’d expect if it’s not obvious for people. Use directional signage if necessary depending on your venue and use your people guide your guests!

Your Welcome Sign is the first touch point between you and your guests. Not only does it do just that, welcome your guests, it can also act as a directional sign to lead guests to the ceremony space or as a sort of blockade that (hopefully) keeps guests from entering a space they aren’t supposed to be in yet.

Also, being realistic, there is no formula for a perfect wedding day, but you can try by being as prepared as possible. Things happen that are unforeseen and that’s ok! That’s why you hire someone to deal with those things for you! Part of a Wedding Planner’s job is to predict problems before they happen and deal with them head on. Get yourself a good one 😉
