To all the couples out there: Allocate sometime before guests arrive to look through the decor and all the details. Once guests start coming in, you have no time for that. Allocate sometime to take couple photos with decor. I highly recommend this before anyone gets there!

Gaya and Gleeson were an extremely laid back couple. Their event was supposed to happen in 2022. 2 weeks before their big day, Gaya was struck with a death in the family which paused everything. Gaya is one of the strongest most amazing woman I had the pleasure of knowing.
We began all the planning once Gaya was fully ready and recovered from the major loss. She came back even stronger🤍
Fast forward to 2023, Gaya and Gleeson wanted a very small gathering with more focus of details and guest experience. And here it is. We made it happen🤍!

As a Planner/Coordinator, nothing excites me more than to see happy smiles on my couples faces. After years of planning, I eagerly wait for my couples big day to see how everything unfolds. It’s the most exciting feeling to be filled with lots of emotions.
And that brings me to a question I get asked a lot : What is the biggest challenge we face as Planners?
The hard truth is that we have to take the heat of whatever doesn’t go according to plan on the big day. We are held responsible if another vendor messes up, even though it’s no fault of our own.
Even if they are a complete seperate vendor and you have no control over how they perform on the day off, it eventually comes back to you (the planner) at the end of the day. This is especially hard with guests of an event that do not understand how the planner/ vendor relationship works. We can only control so much, then it’s upto the vendor to deliver on their promise.
It’s heartbreaking and challenging and a constant battle us planners face BUT we still keep going and we still ALWAYS strive to give our clients the BEST experience we possibly can regardless of how situation plays out.

This past weekend was all about Unleash the Power Within by !! An unbelievable experience.
4 days straight, 15 hours each day. Some incredible speakers from .au 🥹
Special THANK YOU to my dear hubby for taking over our kiddos while I was completely detached at home. 🤍

Our first wedding of 2024 is just a few weeks away and I are SO excited to get this year started!! I have been working with this couple for a little over a year now and cannot wait to see it all unfold 🤍
I often get asked this question: Do you only work with a certain set of vendors for my Full Planning couples? The answer is NO! I work with who I think would fit best for my couples needs. That means that I do my research and ensure they are a good fit for myself and my couple and most importantly, reliable! At the end of the day, it takes years to build trust and good relationships with vendors💞
I want to add something here: We do not just “add” vendors to our roster. We need to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit for each other. Getting along with vendors and understanding how they work is truly very important to me. Because at the end of the day, if they screw up, that’s on me!

Day of coordination does NOT exist!
Would you hire a builder, hand them all your notes that you and your construction crew took months to come up with and tell them to build your dream home within a day? Gosh no! That would be terrifying! Without a proper plan, communication and discussing all the details, how would they pull this off while getting all the little details right?
I often get asked by the newly engaged couples if we offer “day of coordination” services and my answer is….. NO! ❌
I don’t offer day of coordination. There is SO much work involved with planning and coordinating your event, that I’m confident “day of coordination” truly does not exist.
Do you think anyone can walk in on the day of your wedding, make sure everything runs smoothly AND execute it to your vision accurately without any prior knowledge of the event? NOPE! No one can!
We as planners/coordinators cannot just show up to a pre-planned event and work without knowing your vendors, itinerary and every important detail. To know all of the above, we need to come on board well in advance to get familiar with everyone and everything involved in your special day.
As your coordinator, my role is to review everything that you have planned and ensure we are as prepared as possible for your wedding day by getting to know your vendors, creating a timeline for the day and understanding your vision and all the important details.
In order to do my job well, I need to walk into the wedding day knowing what the day is going to look like, having all the answers for vendors and a thorough understanding of what’s provided by each vendor in order to prevent things from falling through the cracks.
Long story short: There is no such thing as ‘Day of Coordination’.

Gosh! Where do I begin. R&V hired us to fully plan 3 events (sangeet, wedding and reception).
We planned all these events in a little over a year! The crazy thing about it was R&V live in the states.
So most of our meetings were virtual. But man, I had such a blast planning their events and just chatting with them.
From the venue hunts to the crazy long design meetings to finalizing the caterers for all their events! I have such fond memories with them and their beautiful families. Ritus mom, Neelam Aunty and I have a bond that I will cherish forever. 🤍 We still chat on a regular basis. I miss them SOO much. 🫶🏼

My answer. Because I work with them for years. It helps me build a very special bond with each and every one of them.
We go through major decisions together as a team. Ive been a part of the happy and sad times that lead upto their big day(s).
I’ve been SO lucky to have incredible family members that also treat me as one of their own, and it becomes hard to not have a special place in my hearts for all of them.

I often get asked…. Who do I walk down the aisle with? Do we have to go the traditional route?
My answer: No! You can walk down the aisle with whoever YOU want to. There is no right or wrong answer. My only suggestion is to walk slow and not have it too too crowded. And remember to not have anyone walk in front of you. The last thing you want is YOU getting covered.
We had rehearsed .sadhnabulsara walk. How flawless was it? She honestly killed it! And more importantly, she enjoyed every moment of it. 🤍

The hard truth: Have a smaller guest count. Small details such as favours and plate settings usually add up per person.
Simply Imagine the kind of decor and details you can add to your big day if you invited 100-150 guests vs 350-400?
This is YOUR big day!
Invite your absolute favourite people, those who will genuinely be happy for you two and that you cannot imagine celebrating your big day without.
Your big day should be about YOU and the budget you’re comfortable with.
