Sometimes I get so caught up in ornate designs that when a couple asks for simple, I forget how incredible “simple” is! I am so thankful for Jen and Ben, who trusted me and loved their invites so much that they came back for their seating chart! It was also a lovely surprise when Jen and her mom dropped by my booth at this year just to tell me in person again how happy they were with everything ♥️ Go check out their beautiful day on , who once again captured perfection.

I very rarely check my junk mail, but am I ever glad I did today! Thank you to whomever nominated me, this was a huge surprise and I am so grateful to do what I do, and to be amongst all these amazing Thunder Bay creators!

Spring is in the air 🌸 even though we know here in Thunder Bay, the snow will return at least once more before May. Despite this, I’m dreaming of green grass and bumblebees, and seeing this floral curtain trend again on my newsfeed made me start to think about spring weddings. It’s short lived here, but it’s stunning when it shows up ♥️

Speaking of gratitude …

When I first started TLE, I was worried about what branching out would look like - I know my paper, but trends come and go, clients are looking for keepsake items more so than things that get tossed after the celebration, and I feared I would eventually lose relevancy in the industry.

And then there was my father in law.

Scot opened himself up for business in 2023 for small woodworking projects, after a few years of gifting my family beautiful items like a bassinet, rocking horse, and a personalized side table. For my own wedding, I explained to him our vision and he created the perfect table number/centrepiece combo (even with the floral foam added for !) and a personalized guestbook that can be hung up instead of hidden away.

I am so lucky to have such a talented and loving father in law, who in turn gave me my husband - two very important people who help bring my dream to life ♥️

While I will eventually re-introduce myself to everyone since it's been a minute, I wanted to make space for an amazing man who has supported me since day one.

was a hashtag I used when my husband and I first started dating, and it still rings true today. You most likely don't see Dylan when you're working with me; that's because he is behind the scenes being an amazing dad and watching our daughter while I chase my dreams, balancing my business financials, being a second set of eyes on projects (if you've had something designed by me, there's a good chance Dylan has added an element or two to it), and so much more. We have spent so many sleepless nights being parents, and so many more being business partners - I couldn't have asked for a better person at my side.

I get it - there’s a lot on your plate with so many balls in the air, planning a wedding is no small feat! Here is a little cheat sheet for you when it comes to your wedding invitations and ordering them by - this does not include the design process, so if you’re tying the knot in June or July, the time is now! Save this to reference back when it comes to making your own personal timeline ♥️

My plans to re-open today have been foiled by technology yet again, due to a transfer issue between my old and new computers I don’t have access to files necessary to re-launch the website; however! Hello all!
I am so excited to resume intakes for the 2024 season! Thank you to everyone for sticking around as I navigated a very hectic 2023, and my apologies to those who were unable to connect with me. Transparently, I have recently made a change in my day to day career and now have more time and capacity to focus on my business - a welcome change for sure!

Come January, I will be doing intakes a little differently than previously; on January 2nd I will open up for regular milestone celebrations and ONLY June/July 2024 weddings. In February I will open up for August 2024 weddings, so on and so forth. My website will also be updated to reflect these changes 🥰

I look forward to what 2024 has in store, and thank you again for supporting me!

A quick sneak peek into why I’ve been quiet the last few months - my husband and I finally celebrated our own wedding this past weekend, and I’m too excited to wait and wanted to share some guest photos of our stationery. Thank you to for all the photos posted to her instagram story, and for all the new followers who are interested in what I do!

Once the dust settles a bit and I am comfortable with a proper re-open, I will announce a date when I will be taking on orders again. I cannot wait!!

Hello everyone!

Thank you to all of you who have stuck around while I’ve been quietly busy - I know I had mentioned last year about how I would be out of commission as I prepare for my wedding this summer, and somehow it is already March and I haven’t been as active as I wanted on here. During this time, I’ve done a lot of trial and error with my stationary options, and I cannot wait to share it all with you! Intricate die cuts, embossed foil, and maybe even centrepieces 🤫

A reminder that I am indeed closed for 2023 milestones, but as soon as I am ready to properly re-debut I will make an announcement and hopefully I will be posting more of what I’ve worked on!

I have so much I want to say about this suite, so …

If you’ve been following along for a while, this isn’t your first time seeing this beautiful invite for Carolyn and Alex - I’ve been working on this since, well, forever it feels but in the best way possible. I was asked to do this suite before I was comfortable doing anything die cut or “out of the ordinary” and I can confidently say that if I hadn’t spent as long as I did perfecting C&A’s invitations, I may have never ventured out of my comfort zone and learned how much I love being challenged.

Care, Alex, thank you for honouring me with this gift of a suite and for making as much of an investment in my growth as I did into your stationery. This suite will always hold a special piece of my heart - congratulations you two, I’m so happy for you both ♥️

Second wedding from last weekend - and also a Sarah & Michael! (meant to be, much?!)

I had so much fun bringing S*M's simple and elegant ideas to life, with dainty blush leaves and a custom monogram that was sprinkled throughout their day of stationery. This suite is a beautiful example that sometimes less really means more. Congratulations S*M, I hope you had the best day!

What a weekend! Two amazing couples got married, and I am so excited to share ♥️

Doing such an ornate suite with a custom monogram and intricate shapes was a huge labour of love, but I couldn't have asked for anything else. Sarah and Michael gave me so much creative freedom in the process, and it really shows how much that comes to life in the final vision. I don't think I'll ever stop posting about this wedding - congratulations again you two!

After a small elopement during the pandemic, M&M finally got to say “I do” surrounded with all their loved ones this past weekend. I had the honour of doing their invitations and day of stationery - learning that my toxic trait is not taking photos of anything before delivery 😶

These two were amazing to work with, with open minds and hearts the whole way through. Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day ♥️ Congratulations again!

Long Post Alert -

In the fall of 2019, my partner and I found out we were pregnant with our first child; only a few short weeks later my father got diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was given 3 weeks to 3 months, and we were absolutely devastated; things only got worse when the world entered the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns prevented us from seeing each other due to chemo and a high risk pregnancy.

Defying the odds, my father fought hard and witnessed several huge milestones - birthdays, anniversaries, the birth of my daughter, my sister’s wedding, Gwen’s first birthday … the list goes on. In the midst of my postpartum depression, my father told me that he just wanted me to be happy. Later on, my partner asked me what exactly made me happy … and thus, TLE Stationery was born. Milestone celebrations became so much more after this to my family, and I knew so many others felt the same way. My business was the beginning of a love letter to my dad … The Letter E; To Laing Einarson.

On May 29th, 2022; almost three years after his diagnosis, my father passed peacefully with myself, my mother and my sister at his side. I can’t explain how bittersweet that was.

I want to thank everyone for still being here as I navigate this new chapter without him, and a huge thank you to all my 2022 couples who have worked with me and adjusting deadlines to give me space to grieve … there are some beautiful souls who are celebrating their marriage this year, and I am so blessed to have been part of their day ♥️

Even though I have taken a step back for the moment, I will be more active once things have settled a bit more. I appreciate all your patience and love, and I can’t wait to be back in action soon.

I’m currently obsessed with Sarah and Michael’s Save the Date card, particularly the custom monogram that will be an integral part of each piece I craft for them. Having a monogram, no matter how simple or extravagant, can be what ties your whole suite together. I love it! Who else would love a monogram, or would you prefer something else to create a flow between your stationery?

Before 2020, I rarely saw or heard about save the dates as a guest. It was considered an extra embellishment, not needed but nice. Now? As a new stationer, I URGE couples to invest in save the dates! The wedding industry has snowballed in the last few seasons, and it has become an unintentional competition for wedding attendance.

Give your guests the courtesy of a heads up, even if it’s something simple. Katie and Garat went with that exact sentiment - enough information to mark in the calendar, excitement about the day itself, but nothing to break the bank.

It’s advised to send out save the dates 6-8 months ahead of your special day, so if you’re a fall wedding and want to get some save the dates done, send me an email! ♥️
