Our Loopsapalooza Story!!!
Since the Pandemic began many of us have been struggling to stay positive and not go crazy at home laid off or even while working. Nobody knew this better then me because for the 1st couple weeks I was stuck at home and being a super extrovert I too was feeling bogged-down and completely depressed.
I feel like creating “Living and Growing up in Kamloops” really saved me and gave me and many others some positive purpose. I would like to say things started off slowly but things have really took off faster then anyone would ever imagine.
Our awesome page ballooned up to 16,000 incredible people in just over 3.5 weeks and I am happy to say it is still growing with some many more amazing people. In one of the posts someone posted that I should host a reunion/party so I sat down for 20 mins and the name “Loopsapalooza” came in my head after one of my last parties names “Payna-Palooza”!!!
I couldn’t possibly name this after myself because this group and party isn’t about me, it is about all the amazing people past, present and future that have all either lived, grown up in Kamloops or at any time called the River city their home!!!
I am happy to report officially “Loopsapalooza” is coming alive and even though things are just starting to move we are so excited to announce many people are starting to embrace the idea. We have had many businesses and people reach out to me regarding sponsorship and ways they can help and We want you all to know we are welcoming everyone with open arms.
I would like to currently thank everyone in Kamloops for embracing us and I would also like to thank all of my Administration for helping me out with everything. Brent Marshall came on first and then I brought on Pam Chatterley and she has been like a bright shinning star. Carla Kluss thank you for being so efficient and amazing and to Nadia, Shawn, Junior, Michael, Kira, Shane and everyone else coming on board, thank you so much, our team is still growing.
SO we are Happy to report our dream of having a huge Party where we all come together to support each other is looking to be a reality. Our next step is to talk more with the city and iron out a date so we can bring everything together more efficiently with 90% of everything Kamloops.
To our current sponsors, Jr Custom T’s (junior/Dave), Fresh is Best(Colin), The Brass Ring (James), lol- leaps of laughter (Jason), Rivershore Ram (Joel), BC Cantech (Lorenzo), and to anyone looking to help our cause THANK YOU!!!
We hope to see and hear from everyone soon as we are excited to see the Dream Team grow!
