Hi there!! 👋 I know its been a while but we are still here and getting excited about the growing season ahead! Every year by the end fall, its a necessary and well deserved time off from the gardens. The last couple months, although busy, still allowed us to find time to rest and rejuvenate. By mid January, when the seed catalogues show up thats when my inspiration creeps in. As per usual I over indulged in my seed purchases... but I suppose I could have a worse problem! This year we are continuing to grow beautiful flowers but hoping to expand our vegetable selection, and offer some cool cucurbits to the mix. Although we haven't had much of a presence in the last little bit, follow our 2023 journey! Learn with us, grow with us, and find the beauty in Rideau Lakes. We will post updates on where you can find us this summer as we straighten out the details! Sending lots of positivity to you all as we begin to emerge from our hibernation and transition into the light and warmth that spring offers🌼🌿

What a year! A step towards something new can feel amazing somedays and challenging the next. Some days a rabbit eats all your work, or a wind storm takes out your field, or you discover you may not have been as careful around the poison ivy as you should have been. Masked behind the beauty that is symmetry, colour, texture, and smell, are learning curves and trials. Thats the beauty of growing! What a year its been- Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our small little farm gate style business. Our flowers and veggies are done for the season, but we already have grand plans for the future and will keep you updated as we continue to grow! Thank you thank you thank you!!! 🌻🌶

August Gratitude 🌞🙏Today I am grateful for hammock swings at sunset, cold drinks after hot humid days, a gentle August breeze, loon calls across the lake, pollinators feasting on nectar, the sweet smell of pine trees in the heat, fireflies twinkling in the night sky, a refreshing dip in the lake, gardens full of veggies, flowers on the table, and fresh ontario peaches with cream. Thank you mother nature for sharing your abundance with us- Rideau Lakes is so beautiful this time of year!

Spring blooms are in full swing right now! This wonderful warm weather has caused everything to bloom all at once which changes the harvesting succesion of tulips this year. Mother nature is hard to work with sometimes but she sure makes beautiful things! If you are looking for spring blooms this week, send me a message!
