A popular and stunning shot at Country Acres by photographers prior to the ceremony is that of the Bride’s beautiful wedding dress hanging outdoors. We have seen a gown hanging from a tree in front of the wooden corral, in front of the log cabin, or hanging by the big red barn.

YOU ARE INVITED! Tonight (6 PM to 10 PM) is the final Open House to enjoy Ian’s Lights (Across the road from Country Acres, 1 km south of McLean, 20 minutes east of Regina)
Enjoy a walk through the forest of lights, sit around the bonfire, warm up in the welcome centre (aka garage) where you will find hot chocolate, coffee, apple cider, seating, and the Country Acres home-made Christmas Cookie Bar! (Donations gratefully accepted in support of the Mental Health Unit, Regina General Hospital).

Husband and Wife are Christmas Shopping at a busy shopping mall just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on his cell.

The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do."
He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?"

Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all
choked up…

"Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied.

"Well I am in the gun shop next door to that." 🤣

THE BIG REVEAL: The “Thank You Tree” you saw in progress yesterday was created for the nursing staff on 6A at the Regina General Hospital. I have been ill for much of the Fall, including 23 days in hospital battling a triple threat: Bacterial Pneumonia, Viral Pneumonia & Bronchitis simultaneously in both lungs . . . a medical anomaly. The incredible & caring nursing staff kept me alive, in Isolation, to buy time for the doctors to reach a diagnosis and treatment plan.
I am now on the country road to recovery and looking forward to the New Year and assisting our 2020 Brides & Grooms prepare for their special day at Country Acres!

My project today is a Lindt Chocolate “Thank You” tree. A Christmas tree or wedding tree would be great too! At Country Acres we have also seen a beautiful golden Ferrero Rocher tree on a reception dessert/sweets table. Tomorrow I will show you the finished project and tell you who I am thanking with this colourful & delicious tree.
SUPPLIES:
*Styrofoam tree form (18” high, Michaels, with Discount Coupon)
*tissue paper (Dollar Store)
*tape (Dollar Store, to secure tissue paper)
*round wooden tooth picks (Dollar Store)
*Approx. 175 Lindt Chocolates (Lindt Store in Harbour Landing, Regina, SK. 100 for $30)
*spoon (to push tooth picks & Lindts onto tree)
NOTE: Tree forms come in all sizes!

At Country Acres, the presentation of the dessert/sweets table at Receptions is a big deal. Begin with our 2 antique wooden dining room tables, cover with vintage lace tablecloths & doilies, then add antique wooden crates, vintage pedestal cake plates and vintage china tea saucers to fill with goodies. VOILA!
