What in the world is that?! 🧐
The latest trend for wedding vendors! Day of Content Creators! What do they do? For the most part a day of content creator will follow you around your entire wedding day, getting photo and/or video footage of behind the scenes and specialty videos for you and your social media posting. Is there any trendy Tik Tok's you want to make? They will do them for you. Want footage of your day without having to wait months and months? They will do it! Usually they will take over your phone and provide you with all the footage and videos of your day. They are becoming increasingly popular in the wedding industry, so would you hire one?

By now we all know photography and videography are going to be high up in your budget. So do you really need both? The obvious answer is no. This comes down completely to your preference and budget. Some brides absolutely want their video, others are happy with just having the photo's. Think about what you are going to look at afterwards. Are you going to rewatch your video? Are you going to go through albums of photo's? There is also the option now to hire a day of content creator so some bride's are opting for that and photography instead of videography.

Do you know what your colour scheme will be? Do you know how to choose?

Keep in mind that every rental company has different linen colours. So it’s great to have an idea of the colours you want but don’t get set on a specific shade until you see your actual options. Pinterest and Instagram weddings may trick you into thinking you need a specific shade. Remember it will all look beautiful no matter the colour!

If you’re a downtown kinda couple, shopping, night scenes, then an indoor reception hall with all the latest food bars is for you! Everyone is their to celebrate you as a couple so your wedding should reflect that. It will also help make you the happiest on your wedding day and make it so memorable for you.

🌟How to make your wedding memorable!🌟
Caesar bars have grown popular for cocktail hours. They are a great way to add a fun interactive station for your guests while you’re off doing photos. Guests. An add any toppings they want, as much or as little and you can dress up the station any way you want! Not a big Caesar group? No problem! You can do the same with Sangria or your own Signature Punch! Have different fruits for guests to add, maybe even some flavour shot syrups. Pets in weddings : Yay or Nay?

In short - It’s up to you and your venue!
Things to consider...
1. Does your venue allow it?
2. How well does your pet handle large crowds and obedience (doesn’t run away, comes when called, sits and stays)
3. What will you do with your pet after the ceremony?

While we would love to have our fur baby be there and apart of our magical moment, it’s not always the best idea for them. If your pet doesn’t like large crowds or loud noises, you probably shouldn’t put them through it. If you’re pet doesn’t listen well in crowds and runs around, it’ll be more of a distraction to you during your most memorable moment. And probably the most important, if there is nowhere for your pet to go to get away and relax like inside a house from a backyard wedding then you’re creating a huge ask of someone in your wedding to have to leave to take care of your pet.

The ideal setting for this is a backyard wedding, where you can then let the pet go in the house and calm down and relax where you don’t have to worry about them and your designated family member doesn’t have to go far to check on them for you. You will be too busy to do this yourself. Consider having photos of you, your significant other and your pet around the wedding to keep them included.

Remember that your wedding day should be about you! So if you want your pet there, and the venue allows it, you can make it happen. Just keep their best interest and yours in mind! 💕

Hey 2020 Brides and Grooms...this is an awesome read for you! It’s from a bride in the states but this is relevant for Canadian brides too. It’s okay! Whatever your decision is, is okay! This is the time to make selfish decisions that are best for you and your significant other!

Wedding season is officially open!
Starting Friday Durham Region will be moving into phase 3, including gatherings of 50 people indoors and 100 outdoors! How exciting! End of fall and winter weddings! Here we go again!

Some couples may have chosen a fall or winter postpone date for this year and they may be coming up to a second time around of postponing their wedding. If you are approaching your wedding date whether it’s the original date, 2nd or 3rd and your wedding day isn’t looking like everything you’ve imagined...do not be afraid to postpone again! This is your day, no one else’s. You deserve this. If you need help or advice we are always an email, message or phone call away!

So you’re postponing...now what?
Have you communicated with all your vendors?
No: Email or call them ASAP
Yes: Now ask what dates they have available for the next year you want to get married
Once you have decided on a new date that works for you, make sure all your vendors have changed your date, extra payments made, if you had to cancel any vendors make sure you find replacements and then send out a new save the date!
This will help make it clear for anyone who isn’t in your close circle that you are postponing and not holding your original date. It’s a difficult decision and the last thing you want to do is answer a million more questions from your entire guest list. Opt for a save our new date or social media post or even a group message rather then individual phone calls.
Remember this is still your wedding and all about YOU!
Now relax, breathe and get excited for your new date!

Hello Lovelies!
With Covid-19 and the changing rules on weddings it’s hard to determine what to do. Do you elope? Have a smaller intimate ceremony? Or do you postpone? There is no right or wrong answer. The perfect time to get married is different for everyone. Consider yours and your partners feelings first. If being married on the date you chose is important to you, then elope or have you’re very closest with you. If postponing doesn’t seem ideal because you have future plans, have your wedding! If you really aren’t comfortable on having a smaller wedding or compromising the guest list, postpone! The options are not ideal but remember your friends and family will understand regardless of your decision. This is your wedding day and no one could have possibly been prepared for how 2020 has turned out. Always do what’s best for you and your partner!

Outdoor Ceremonies = up to 50 guests
Indoor Ceremonies =30% of the venues capacity
Receptions = 10 guests

While this is still not ideal for most, it is huge for those who cannot change their wedding date. You can now have your most important friends and family there to witness your marriage. This is also a step towards having a normal wedding again.

Happy Monday! It’s June 1st! How have we made it to June? This bright sunny weather would be oh so perfect for the outdoor weddings that should be taking place every weekend normally. Hopefully next year gives us perfect beautiful sunny weather every weekend for everyone who has had to postpone!
This photo is the dream for outdoor weddings, it was a September wedding, beautiful sunny day(even though they were worried about rain) and clear gorgeous skies for the fireworks the couple did later that night.
