Hi there! I’m Andrea, owner and lead designer of Lark & Spur Studios, and I’d love to share a few updates about what’s been going on here at the studio with you!🤍

Honestly, it’s been a whole lot of this lately!👆👆👆👆Last October we welcomed our second baby girl, growing into a family of four, and I’ve been soaking up every possible moment with my girls since then. 💕

But come July the studio is officially back in action! I purposely scheduled the studio for a light 2024 season so I can continue to prioritize myself and my family during this chapter of young babies. I am continuing to build this little business, year over year, but at a slower pace. Kids are the best that way, they teach you that all good things come with consistent effort and in their own time.

Next up, I’ll be on the hunt for a few floral hands to help with this season. Stay tuned for freelance opportunities if you’re interested!

I am so looking forward to continuing to celebrate beautiful couples through flowers, as they make a lifetime commitment to one another!

Part of a florists job is sourcing the containers that your flowers show up in. It’s a game changer for how your wedding design comes to life! But it takes time and energy to find the perfect containers; not to mention the inventory work we have to do at the beginning of each season ahead of our upcoming weddings. It’s not all flowers all the time in the life of a wedding florist! Not pictured: the mountain of candles currently being counted, cleaned and replaced. 🕯️

As I prepare to become a mother of two, it’s easy to get lost in my shortcomings and feel overwhelmed with thoughts of future challenges. How will be the mother I want to be and manage a floral studio? How will I continue to build this business I love but not miss their tiny hands, their mispronounced words, their calls for “mama”? How will I be the dedicated, attentive mother I want to be and not feel the mounting pressure of slow progress? Instead of looking for answers in some future unknown, maybe I should look back for some perspective and gratitude. My younger self would have never imaged the life I have today.
