Happy weekend! End of summer is nearing. How are you preparing for a summer-to-fall transition? As I do my to-do-list and reflect on how to do this,I like to listen to music while I get my toes Fall ready.
Many of us feel a mix of sadness and happiness as summer comes to an end. I know I do😀Summer offers opportunities for outdoor fun, delicious fresh produce, and the beautiful sunshine and amazing summer outfits (light packing if you’re travelling). Fall has a beauty of its own, and brings the start of school (a bit of mental break for moi), holidays, changing leaves (which always make me feel great as it symbolizes new beginnings for me annually) and root veggies (I absolutely love root veggies).
We can look to nature for cues on how to transition to a new sea*on. Currently it feels so summery still so I am off to do my nails and transition to fall color first before I start putting away my summer dresses🤗😉

For the longest time, I have always done self-care alone. It’s “self” care afterall😁
Now everyone is different but for me when I discovered that I can do selfcare with my girlfriends, it totally changed the way I see self-care. What an incredible way to fill up my cup (and theirs), my soul and rejuvenate not just my body needing pampering but also feeding my mental health with positivity and good vibes.
With COVID-19 it kind of changed a bit, but my top 5 favs for this group/self-care are
1. Mani pedi- Vancouver’s Joyride is a perfect place for it with the ambiance that is created to relax even a TypeA babe like me with continued to-do-list running in my head😩😁believe me, from the moment you walk in, you’ll step into “pampering mode”.
2. Window shopping- I like outdoor plazas or malls. When I lived in Barcelona, my fav spot was La Roca Village. In Vancouver, the one close to it is Macarthurglen Designer Outlet by the YVR airport
3. Movie Marathon/ Netflix binging- this is a fun time I love to do with my sisters. With the twins occupying most of my screen tv time with Indiana Jones, Sta Wars and Pirates of the Carribean, it is so nice to binge watch Criminal Minds, Scandal, The President, Insidious and other shows I simply cannot watch with the kids 😆
4. Long walks in the neighborhood- I absolutely love admiring people’s gardens and homes with my gals and our dogs. I am lucky to be living in one of the best neighborhoods to do this. I get to walk a few blocks and also see the beach and mountains as well as the whole of downtown Vancouver.
5. Girls’ Trips- this is one thing I missed the most. One of these days, I know we will be able to do this again. I can’t wait!

School year is ending soon. Do you have anyone in your life graduating this year? This is such a big milestone and a special time to remember.
The feeling of success while throwing my square cap in the air is something I truly remember. But graduation is more than just throwing a cap in the air, or dressing up, or getting an important piece of paper, it’s about celebrating achievements, being with the people you shared a part of your life with, being proud of your journey, hitting goals and marking an end to enter a new beginning.

Wow this month is flying by so fast. Do you feel the same way? I can’t believe we are half way done this month!
As we head towards warmer and longer days, the need for parties and getting together can escalate (well at least that’s how I feel🤗). With continued restrictions in response to the pandemic, lots of people are getting creative with how occasions are celebrated.
Mini weddings are in the rise. Virtual graduations are getting planned.

I grew up in a tropical paradise surrounded by vibrant flowers; they just have a way of speaking to my heart. That feeling and the sense of connection flowers bring into my life is so precious I want to share it with others. I am a mom to adorable twin boys and a gentle pup. One of the missions that I have in building PBF® is to be able to provide flexible work opportunities for woman, especially to mothers. I want to create a space where they can put their creative hats on while building connections and making income for their families. I am excited to see where we head from here.
