Hi! I'm Rachel & I never met a colour I didn't like.
Artist, florist & pasta enthusiast.
Making creative business happen since 2017 in the heart of Toronto. Things have changed and so have I. My work is an evolution, come along for the ride! 🌊
Thank you @justinhackworth for my 5 minutes of fame, I'm in LOVE with the shots you took of me at @altsummit.
2025 is all about PLAY for me and this is exactly that! ✨
Holy sh*t I was an artist for @altsummit in PALM FREAKIN' SPRINGS!!!
One of my art professors once told me: if you don't document it, it didn't happen. The bags under my eyes and paint beneath my fingernails beg to differ, but here's some behind the scenes of my first ever international art project!🌼
I have so many people to thank like @designmom for trusting me, and having faith in someone who has NEVER done this before! Rob at @tphcanada College Park, my partner for the romantic late nights doing math and cutting insulation tiles in our living room, @leissewilcox for becoming my first friend of Alt and supporting me during a meltdown/rescue mission when I thought I LOST MY PASSPORT.
Also also, the team from @crowdcontrolent were my literal heros helping me hang this baby up! Not to mention the Alt staff, volunteers, @mimiblair & @wellthislife and literally anyone who offered to help me along the way. This was a labour of love and community! 💛
What a dream it was to see it hanging out on stage with the likes of @cyndiespiegel, @lisacongdon, @katieporteroc and so many more!
A huge shout out to @nicolebreanne rooting me on the entire way, and encouraging me to take my art outside to get a little sunshine.
Alt Summit was incredible and I learned SO much, met INCREDIBLE new friends, like the incredibly talented @mynwest, @letterly.signsandlettering, @allhaildesign @beautygurlzdesigns, @hellohannahsoto, @ssprenzphoto, @strategiccharmboutique and SO many more inspiring artists, makers, business owners and overall incredible women. Sessions were affirming, actionable, and practical: I especially loved @wellnessforcreatives, @amyturnsharp and @tipsfromdeadpeople.🪄
This was the most adrenaline filled weekend, and after experiencing this, I dunno if I'll ever make it to Coachella.😂
My soul is totally reignited, and I'm fired up to create more art this year.✨✨✨✨
Why choose one colour when you could choose MANY?! 💛💖🧡🖤

My solution to most things: put a bow on it.🎀
🎀No wrapping paper? Top that candle with a bow.
🎀No time to shop? Put a bow on yourself!
🎀Need a low maintenance centrepiece? Trim your tree and put a bow on it!
Earlier this month I shared 3 of my favourite festive floral tips with @thesocialctv!
We talked about:
💸 Florals on a budget
🌸 Arrangements with 1-2 flower varieties
🍊 Designing table scapes with fruit!
Catch the full segment in the link in bio, but for now, quit stressing about your holiday party this weekend and PUT A BOW ON IT!💖
~~~~~
Infinite hugs to @magichourpr.co for making this happen, @_clieu and Pamela for being my audience cheer squad, @kirstimcnabney for helping me make this reel (lol) and of course @jessie_rae57, @cynthialoyst & @melissagrelo for being the kindest hosts!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Flashback footage of the CLEANEST prep I've ever done while starting my floral practice working from home. The lyrics by @lolayounggg hit me right in the chest.
Remember where you started, celebrate where you are. Be freaking PROUD of every big and little step you took.✨
When the job site brings in 2 million people, there's no way I'm driving.
Real footage of me 'n @nuncandthistle wagoning over flowers to Church St. for @fitzrovialife's activation at #pride2024.🌈💐💘
Volume up for the calming sounds of learning the art of floral arranging.✂️💐✨
Floral arranging, just like taking time for self-care, is a celebration of living in the moment....and we did just that at @nurtureretreats in early May.
It was really special to be part of this wonderful campaign in partnership with VistaPrint and IFundWomen.
Make Lemonade Co. Ltd. was the Canadian representative part of a global campaign to give $100,000 in grants to women-led businesses.
5 years ago I started Make Lemonade. 5 years later, I'm still pinching myself of all the opportunities, the people I've met, and the experiences had. It's unfathomable.
I think this video is a wonderful reminder that alone we can do amazing things, but together we can go farther...and have more fun.
Here's to making lemonade...and the next 5 years!
