Sometimes you gotta just block off a day to play.💘

Spent the perfect Friday at 's studio to play with flowers and catch up. We did the math, it's been at least 10 years that we've known eachother, and it only took us a solid 2.5 to schedule this play date.

Added bonus was a trip to .to and discovering that is literally Sarah's studio neighbour!

We had no real plan for today, and the finished looks are gonna blow your socks off.🧦

Reminding myself constantly that work and play is what I make of it and they should always be mixed.✨

Forever grateful for the clients who keep coming back. Today's wintery look was for and their partners for the 2026 Olympics.(!!!) Loved how this all came together after getting our hands absolutely smothered in sap from all the pine. 🌲✂️

HI! I'M HERE!

The other week I painted my studio and hung up SO MANY lights to turn it into a dreamy space to design florals and paint my big canvases. IT'S SO NICE in here now!

A huge goal of mine is to have a studio that can be open for small workshops, get a ton of natural light, be ground level, and be in a building with other creatives. BUT, I'm not there yet and instead of wishing for what I WANT, I decided to focus on what I have NOW and make things better here.

As always, there's a lot going on behind the scenes, whether it's work that isn't documented, advocating for your health (taking it easy after a minor operation), watching the Eras Tour via your friends instagram, or melting into the couch as the days get shorter and shorter.🫠

I really wanna tell all my friends here that if there is something *funky* happening in your body and you just don't feel *right*, TAKE NOTE and push like heck to get care. My own personal experience is something I don't want to expand on online, but I will say, navigating the health care system is an absolute schmozzle and I don't wish it upon anyone. I'm so grateful my concern is only *minor* (but still enough to affect my quality of life) but no matter how big or little your health concern is, man oh man, you REALLY GOTTA PUSH. I hate that it is this way, but just make the call (and then the 20 proceeding calls afterwards), ok?!

This has been this year of advocating for my health and something just feels so nice about having a fresh studio, permission to take it slow, and a few exciting projects to end the year.✨

I've been debating on how to 'show up' here all summer long.

Is this IG space a portfolio for my floral work, an archive of the physical and virtual coworking business that started it all, a visual diary, a highlight reel?

Is there a right way or a wrong way to show up? It is a business account afterall...

But 'Make Lemonade' has always been what it's been cause I'm in the drivers seat, steering this thing in the direction of what I *think* is the next right step (10/10 my intuition is always right).

'N for now, this 'next phase' is leaning heavily into my creative side, more than I ever have. Yes, fresh florals. Yes, painting. Yes, written from the heart Hump Day Magic letters, and yes, more Monday Motivation quotes that inspire the sh*t outta me.✨

Something is shifting inside, I can feel it. Something lighter, more fun, more play, more confidence, more lemonade.🍋

Why Lemonade?

Make Lemonade was created because the struggle is real. Tired of jumping from coffee shop to coffee shop with dodgy wifi and limited seating, we set out on a mission to create an office space that lived inside our imagination. Welcome to Make Lemonade, a design-forward coworking environment, where the coffee is strong, the lighting is bright, and phone calls can be made without worrying who might be making a racket beside you.

There’s a familiar saying that goes a little like this: “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” The idea of Make Lemonade isn’t just about turning sour situations sweet, but choosing to create something, anything, that will make your life richer.
