We’re stoked to have been invited back to be part of A Not So Silent Summer in support of Not In My City.

The event goes July 26 at the Calgary downtown Marriot Oneup! Rooftop patio featuring ourselves, Paul Brandt, and a ton of other talented artists.

We’ll be playing throughout the event and then continuing the party afterwards at Empire 18. Hopefully we can convince to play a guest set. 👀

Shelter goes tonight!

Closing off the night with a special vinyl set we have the very easy but wildly particular ‘super/polite’ (.sound)

“Instructions for super/polite premium ramen.

Minimum prep time 90 minutes up to 240 minutes (240 minutes recommend for a one-way ticket to flavor country)

2 Cups of stripped-back grooves
3 Cups proper house noodles
1 Cup of minimal rollers
1 Cup of Romanian heat
1/4 cup of hot cues
2 tablespoons of dubby chuggers
1 teaspoon of cheeky remixes

Simmer broth for up to 12 hours, boil noodles for no more than 2 minutes, combine and serve immediately.”

Taking us through the peak hours of the night is , back for her second go around with Stay Vigilant.

“World disco, searing techno and explosive voguing tracks are some of the flavours you can expect from DJ Hannah, one of Calgary’s most versatile selectors.

DJ Hannah’s zeal for eclecticism was the product of a Montreal upbringing and an unending curiosity with the hidden gems of music history. Her earliest sets at house parties around Calgary were coloured with the authenticity of an old soul, drawing the attention of the community at large. Following her 2017 club debut she continued generating forward momentum, moving into the role of promoter and show runner with DIY pop-ups and branded club events.

In 2020 Hannah launched the show “Neon Window” on CJSW 90.9 FM examining the history of genres that gave birth to contemporary electronic music like jazz, soul, and funk. Her ability to captivate audiences across diverse mediums has upended the tech bro monotony and made DJ Hannah synonymous with memorable nights.”

We look forward to LaRiss kicking the night off, and getting us settled in.

“From funky, soulful beats, to sexy late-night vocal grooves, Calgary based DJ, LaRiss, has been sharing her passion for music with the world since 2016.

As a classically trained musician and dancer, music is a part of her soul and heritage. Armed with an extensive collection of vinyl and 45's, LaRiss began playing old school funk and nostalgic sets for small events in 2016. Inspired by the phenomenal talent of the local DJ's in the Calgary scene, she discovered her true joy and began playing house sets in 2019.

Because of her passion for hunting down new tracks and her intuitive storytelling through music, LaRiss has a keen sense of how to keep the dancefloor moving and listeners engaged.

With experience ranging from large scale festivals, like Burning Man to regional events and club nights, LaRiss has a discerning musical background that can adapt to any setting and is quickly becoming a recognizable face in the vibrant Calgary club scene.”
