Evergreen Weddings

Today marks five years since Evergreen Weddings first began and I am filled with many emotions as I write this. As I look back here are some highlights that shaped me along the way.

There is truly so much that I have to say so let’s start here. I fell in love with the wedding industry nine years ago when I attended in Winnipeg, Manitoba to help other companies with their booths. I still remember how much my face lit up thinking about being amongst this community for the very first time. As I pondered different career paths, I always kept coming back to weddings and decided to take the course to become a certified Wedding Planner. This course was the first of many where I began to learn more about weddings, and my love only grew stronger.

Four years later Evergreen Weddings began and I attended the wedding show as a business, looking back to this moment it felt like a dream for me. This show was where I made some of my very first friendships in business, many of which I still carry with me today.

In the past five years we have built a wonderful team, expanded into another province, won several awards through different outlets, and have been published in print and online.

I cannot put into words how much this industry means to me, but for those that know me you can see it in my work and our interactions along the way. I am so grateful for my team, the amazing vendor community, our wonderful clients (past, present, and future), the friendships built along the way, and most importantly the support from my friends, family, and partner. Evergreen Weddings would not be where it is today without you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This year is a really exciting year for us as we start to bring in destination work, and I am so exited for you to see the plans we have been working on. 💫❤️

A Birds Eye view.. our latest design.

Today I am so happy to be able to share my latest design with you throughout this editorial. Months of planning with pouring my whole heart and soul into this project and I could not be happier with how everything came together. I chose to do only one editorial this year to be able to give my full undivided attention throughout every part of the planning..

I created one of my favourite colour palettes to date focusing on sage green, butter yellow, light mauve, and dark burgundy. If you look closely you will see the birds crafted into the cake, and delicately showcased throughout the stationery suite in which I will be sharing more from soon.

Thank you everyone who was a part of making this day come together, I am so thankful that I get to work amongst such amazing professionals in the industry not only on this day, but always. More to come from this day in the future..

The first sneak peek of this magical corner install that created for our last editorial of 2022.

Since the beginning of last year I have honed in on creating a certain element in each of my editorials that has one major focal point, and for this specific one this floral installation was it.

I cannot wait to see more installs like this in our design future, and I hope this inspires couples to see how beautiful a grand statement piece like this can be. There is truly so much you can do in a space that can make it your own. 🤍
