SOLD OUT!!! BOUQUET OF THE MONTH CLUB 2021

This morning we invited new members to join us for a full season of fine floristry, via our Bouquet Of The Month Club. Our newsletter-crew got an email one week ago with the *exact* date and time that memberships would become available, as a thank-you for following along with us. We doubled our memberships this year, and in only five minutes, had just two spots left.
..wow!

We are astounded. To the handfuls of you who set alarms and timers (special mention to the new BOMCLub member who shared with us that your whole household had a countdown to sign ups going live) THANK YOU. I cannot express how your support impacts our farm, particularly this time of year... though rest assured I will continue to try to express our gratitude, every time you receive a Bouquet Of The Month Club email from me, for the next 9 months.

a little video snippet from a couple of days ago... We hope that Autumn has found you and yours warm and well 🍂

Caption from our Instagram grid: 'Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the the first September was crisp and golden as an apple' (👈🏻⚡️real talk. Elizabeth firmly believes that this is one of JK Rowling's most underappreciated, all the while hard hitting and relatable lines of all seven Harry Potter books.) // September has found her way to our farm. Quite similarly to how it was described above, actually. Now, much like our field and crops, we are letting out a little exhale. Welcome back, Autumn!

a four-photo synopsis (re: highlight reel) of the past week or so.

If you are one of our St. Andrews Farmers' Market customers, we want to take a brief moment to let you know that we will not be at the market tomorrow. We hummm-ed and haaaa-ed about this for the better part of three days before facing the reality that our field and crops need some intensive, and immediate, TLC to continue producing well into the Autumn. If we don't invest the time into this right now - we won't have crops we have been counting on to keep your homes filled with flora straight through until Christmas.

So, Thursday morning while Andrew and I are nursing our dry fields back to life and affectionately encouraging various crops through their pest infestations (namely snapdragons and dahlias overcome by stink bugs and tarnish plant bugs) - we want you to head right over to our friends at Bantry Bay Farm and fill your arms with Mike and Liana's beautiful bouquets and flower bunches!

You will be able to find our bouquets again this Saturday morning at McGuire Chocolate and we will see you all again, next week, at the Market!

a series of snapshots to serve as a bit of a 'recap' from the past week or so.

We have had so many projects on the go here at the farm and it's been a whirlwind. A quick summary of our gratitude: if you have been on the receiving end of one of our emails gone array, thank you for your patience! If you have been one of the customers keeping us busy, busy, busy in the fields harvesting and in the cooler designing, thank you for your endless and generous support! If you are one of our brides celebrating a wedding currently, or on the very near horizon, thank you for taking the leap into exclusively local wedding flora. It is a whole new World of beauty and magic and we are honoured to be the ones to bring it to life for you. If you are one of our family members or friends who has checked in and reminded us to eat, rest, breathe, wash our hair, etc., you keep our tired bodies afloat and we straight up love you.

Currently on the farm we are:

- bringing together a whack of weddings in the next handful of days. (We are absolutely, 100% grateful for the local brides who have booked with us for this season, after the Covid-19 pandemic took its toll on our first (fully booked) calendar of 2020 wedding floristry happenings.)

- continuing to turn over high tunnel beds and transplanting heat lovers indoors for earlier dried crops.

- talking ourselves out of getting more ducks (this is a daily task), while maintaining and loving our current 17 piece flock, pollinating bee hive, and two happy, happy pigs (affectionately referred to as 'wigglinnis' on the farm. You say that like you would say a type of pasta. Wig-leen-eee).

- harvesting, conditioning, and designing for lots and lots of Market, McGuire Chocolate, and special order bouquets.

- seeding the crops for our Winter and Christmas bouquets

- loading and unloading the new dishwasher (with more affection for that appliance than you can imagine. I guarantee it.)

- amending beds, planning and tackling the prep work of field expansion, running irrigation, and working through the site selection of one (?), two (?), three (if Elizabeth gets her way?), high tunnels and covered growing spaces for the not so distant future.

It's a lot. Yes, we are very tired, but our hearts are so full. Always a pleasure to catch up with you all!

Also, yesterday's bridal bouquet.

'Not posing as a blushing bride this week - you'll have to settle for the 'real life, tired, florist with a serious Bellatrix Lestrange (post 14 years in Azkaban) hair tangle' look...

'a flushing love letter' // brought to you by our , arranged by Elizabeth in a gorgeous stoneware vessel (which was curated for us by the one and only ). Inspired by the magic that was .co 's birlliant series. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, made possible (wholeheartedly) with the creative encouragement and camera guidance of (and caffeine).

It really does take a village.
