Kicking off our musical artist spotlights for BMO Community Art Days July 12 & 13 – we are excited to feature Phat Funk!
“Phat Funk” Also known as Ryan Torrie, Born and raised in Prince George BC. Ryan started his DJ Career as formal DJ, djing weddings and Christmas Parties. After visiting his first Shambhala Music Festival 2011, He discovered the Fractal Funk sound. Phat Funk was born. Performing all of BC and Alberta, Phat Funk has had the opportunity to open up for many major artist including Fort Knox Five, Jpod, Father Funk, Wes Please, Defunk, Freddy J, Emotionz, Dani and Lizzy, K+Lab, Timothy wisdom, Slynk, Kytami, Illvis Freashly, Pineo & Loeb, Golden BSP And even R.A. Rugged Man! A founder and manager of The Westcoast Scratch Syndicate. Phat Funk has a diverse variety of music and style. Phat Funk was also voted a favourite local DJ by the local citizen paper. So if you're looking for funky, catchy glitch-hop beats, sick deep house vibes, scratching and cutting or just an all around good time, Phat Funk has just the vibe you need!
