Two of the most versatile hosts from Saskatchewan & Alberta will be our emcees for the upcoming Central Alberta Bayanihan Awards & Gala Night held at the Red Deer Resort & Casino this November 24, 2024.

Our emcee for the first year Jeanny Sojor Buan from Saskatoon will be back this year. She is a Beauty Queen & TV Personality.

Also, Calgary's very own Emily Fernandez Caday, who herself is a Radio & TV personality will be hosting this years event as well.

Get to know our Keynote Speaker for the upcoming Central Alberta Bayanihan Awards on November 24, 2024 held at the Red Deer Resort & Casino.

Ms. Abby Villanueva is an extraordinary visionary, a trailblazer, and a versatile entrepreneur with a rich and diverse background spanning multiple sectors. As the president and CEO of A & G Associates, she has left an indelible mark on education, property management, and various other ventures.

In 2020, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found AGA Academy. This endeavour marked the inception of the first-ever Filipino-owned private college in Calgary. As the President of AGA Academy, she harnessed her extensive education and community development background to establish an institution dedicated to nurturing minds and empowering students to reach their fullest potential. Her unwavering commitment to quality education and her innovative and unique approach swiftly propelled AGA Academy into the limelight.

Her determination to broaden her impact led her to establish A & G Associates, showcasing her entrepreneurial drive and commitment to positive change.

This conglomerate encompasses various sectors: education, career and placement assistance, property rentals, lending solutions, and multimedia production. This multifaceted company mirrors her expansive vision and steadfast commitment to driving progress across various domains.

In every endeavour, she embodies the spirit of an empowered entrepreneur, an advocate for education, and a catalyst for positive change. Her journey from an agriculture graduate to a President and CEO is an inspiring narrative of perseverance, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

In October 2024, she won the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award at the Alberta Immigrant Impact Awards, hosted by the Government of Alberta.

Despite her achievements, she remains dedicated to community engagement, building partnerships with the Calgary Bridge Youth Foundation and offering scholarships to future leaders. THE WEEKEND WILL BE FESTIVE!

The 2nd Afro-Caribbean Festival is ready for a phenomenal weekend to shake up Downtown Red Deer and is inviting the entire city to come down to our lovely downtown at the heart of the city; you will have an unforgeable weekend with a Beer Garden from Mock, , and Hitch local beer, and as well as meeting with many talented African Caribbean artists, local artists, provincial artists, who will be performing throughout the weekend.

There will be an After-Party at Scott Block Theatre hosted by our friends,proud sponsors on Sat from 11pm to 3am. The party will be animated by our amazing singer and DJ and drinks will be available.
Tickets are available at ACCoCA, Zainab's Coffee House & Chubby Jerk and BBQ Kitchen a on Eventbrite.com.

We need volunteers for set up from 5am to 8 am, & 8 am to 10am and , for take down on Sunday from 8pm to 10pm. Please sign up on our website today, www.accoca.ca
