These three MASSIVE chinese mystery snails were captured in the creek of the infamous Texas road trail.👻
Chinese mystery snails are invasive! 🚫
Why is it a problem? Chinese mystery snails can clog water-intake pipes. They may also transmit diseases and parasites to fish and other wildlife. They compete with native snails for food and adversely affect aquatic food webs!
These three will be quarantined and treated here and booy oh boy they are super cool - but not to super cool for our environment! 🙅‍♀️
Prevent the Chinese mystery snail from spreading by cleaning, draining and drying boats and equipment. Never release aquarium specimens into the wild!
These guys will be with me for the rest of there days! Can't wait till quarantine time is done and they can start cleaning my tanks lol! Time to clean there shells, quarantine tank and add the antibiotics now that I've got a little free time. 🐌

Pet Fart lables these red claw crabs as freshwater, witch is FALSE.
He's been in brackish water since the day he came to us because that is what he belongs in! He has gotten a lot healthier AND BIGGER! Yay Sebastian!

This Friday will be about the Convict Cichlid!

The Convict Cichlid prefers swimming in flowing waters, and as such is frequently found in lakes, rivers, and streams. They hide in large rocks and crevices on the ocean floor. You can see them in Central America, from Panama, Honduras to Guatemala and Costa Rica. However, they (particularly the black Convict Cichlid) have managed to migrate to several other unlikely locations, too, such as Japan, Australia, Mexico, and more. This is a testament to their durability, and their ability t0 live in unlikely conditions. In fact, they were once discovered living under an active volcano!
