We have big news!! Winnie the Roo from Charlotte's Freedom Farm will be in attendance for our May 14th event at Dawghouse Pub & Eatery! You do not want to miss this!

So it turns out that that my gallbladder got sick and tired of my Nickelback jokes and wanted out, in a hurry.

The "minor medical emergency" was actually emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder and deal with some complications along the way. And yes, I did ask if I could still host trivia tomorrow night, they just laughed and said absolutely not; guess they've never been! Geesh!

I want to give a huge shout-out to the incredible staff at Victoria Hospital; from the porters, to the nurses, to the admin staff, to the doctors, everyone was absolutely amazing in helping through a very painful situation.

Another shout-out to Charlotte's Freedom Farm, they had arranged a lot of special treats for tomorrow night; including a visit from Winnie! Hopefully they'll be able to do it again when we reschedule; stay tuned for that!

And thank you to our incredible fans, I know this is last minute, and trust me, if I could have some how hosted for you I absolutely would have, you are truly the best and I love hosting the nights for you all.

Another amazing event at the Dawghouse Pub & Eatery is in the books, and it did not disappoint!

We managed to raise $220 for Inugoya Rehoming & Rehabilitation! Huge thanks to all of you for your support, it will go a long way in helping them.

We truly have some amazing trivia fans! We hope you enjoy the trivia as much as we enjoy putting it together and hosting it for you!

And a special thanks everyone that donated prizes for the raffle, including KNEAD ME Massage & Wellness Clinic.

We definitely have the best fans, especially with our shared distain of everything Nickelback! 🤣

More importantly our amazing fans raised $75 cash, plus numerous online donations for PAWS.

As our regulars already know, each event we raise money for various charities, and so far, our fans have been incredible, raising hundreds of dollars for our charities.

Charlotte's Freedom Farm is by far one of our favourites, and we have been long time supporters of them. The work they do is incredible, they are true heroes to these precious little animals, and right now, they really need our support more than ever!

Attached are pictures of: Kermit (goat), Olive (dog), Winnie (w/ calendar), and Winnie and Bee (w/ book).

Kermit arrived at the sanctuary with the inability to open his mouth and eat. Lauren has been hand feeding him through a syringe ever since (see Lauren and Kermit in action here: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1070523240798434). Kermit is slated to have lifesaving surgery on Thursday at OVC in Guelph.

Olive needs to see a specialist at OVC because of a botched tail amputation preformed prior to her arrival at the sanctuary.

As you can imagine, none of this is cheap. They are attempting to raise $15,000 to cover the various vet bills.

Even with all of that, Charlottes has been generous enough to provide calendars and books for any donations over $20; cash or e-transfer only. These make incredible Christmas gifts! (hint, hint)

They have also provided a few small prizes for the various trivia rounds that night.

We know times are tough for everyone right now, so we’re asking from the bottom of our hearts to try and help these beautiful animals and amazing people at Charlottes.

We are less than a week away from our one and only event in October.....yes, we're going on a much-needed vacation.

As always Dawghouse Pub & Eatery will be running their Tuesday specials; $7.99 Burger and Fries, plus $4.25 16oz Drafts. With those kind of deals you won't need to cut your own hair like Kanye West to save a few bucks!
