In a metropolis like Toronto with condos & high-rises (& construction!) popping up all over the city, it's almost mind boggling to think that the CN Tower was constructed in only 40 months 🤯

Completed in 1976, the tower was built by the Canadian National Railway Company who employed over 1,500 workers to build the world's tallest freestanding structure (until 2007 - so we held the top spot for over 30 years!)

The CN Tower was constructed to demonstrate the strength of Canadian industries & still is a captivating sight in today's skyline. Home is where the CN Tower is 🤍

We've all heard of ‘feeling blue,’ ‘seeing red,’ or being ‘green with envy.' What all these phrases have in common: they use colour to describe how we're feeling. And why do these expressions make sense, you may wonder... because colour is closely associated with emotions.

Colour theory suggests that specific colours and their frequencies have a physiological and psychological impact on our feelings and behaviours.

Bright colours - like the ones Emily & Jeremy opted for - are shown to increase mental activity so people feel rejuvenated, energized, and overall happier after looking at them.

Weddings are supposed to be one of the happiest days of a couple's life - so why not share some of that happiness with your guests by opting for hues proven to bring smiles on their faces, like the ones here! 💐

Time to pop the champagne 🍾

Have you ever wondered why champagne is the go-to celebratory beverage? Well, here's a little history lesson for you...

The first documentation of having champagne in celebration dates back to 5th century France to King Clovis. When celebrating his first communion a king, the kingdom lifted glasses filled with local wine (which happened to be from the champagne region) in good health to him. This was the first-ever record of champagne being used to celebrate.

(Psst... Never heard of this guy & wonder why he was so important? Well, during King Clovis' reign, he united all "Franks" under one union - creating modern-day France as we know it!)

Subsequently, champagne became popular among French royals, and was even had to celebrate the survivors of the French Revolution.

As the cost of champagne decreased, more members of society could afford it, but it still wasn't affordable enough to enjoy every day. Instead, people would purchase a bottle of bubbly to celebrate a special occasion... Which is still common practice today!

Can you believe the groom put together this chuppah himself?! WOW!

Let's learn a little bit about what happens under the chuppah, shall we!

Some common rituals that take place during a Jewish wedding ceremony under the chuppah include...

✡️ Wedding vows
The groom usually recites a vow to the bride, such as "By this ring, you are consecrated to me (as my wife) in accordance with the laws of Moses and the people of Israel".

✡️ The Seven Blessings
A traditional ritual that involves reciting seven blessings, starting with the blessing over the wine and ending with a communal expression of joy. The blessings are adapted from ancient rabbinic teachings.

✡️ Breaking the glass
The groom ends the ceremony by smashing a glass with his foot. Some Jews believe this symbolizes the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, while others see it as a symbol of what is broken in today's society.

✡️ Mazel Tov
A common expression of congratulations at the end of the ceremony, literally meaning "good fortune".

✡️ Kol Sasson V'Kol Simchah Kol Chatan V'Kol Kallah
A phrase that means "The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride".

Fun fact: The tallest human pyramid recorded was 13.34 meters (43.79 feet) high & had nine levels. It was built in Thane, India in 2012 by the Jai Jawan Govinda Pathak team.
