Elite Events BC was established in October 2017 by owner and lead event planner Elena Markin. Elena's love for event planning dates long before the start of Elite Events BC. She was the Executive Director of Chase & District Ch

Later, Elena worked as venue event manager at the Quaaout Lodge and Talking Rock Golf resort, The Coast Hotel, and Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon. Elena has planned over 500 weddings in her event planning career and over 300 business events, ranging from simple meetings and exclusive VIP retreats to large international conferences, for companies such as Molly Cop and Lululemon. Before & after the fire. I am sad about what happened to the United Church Kamloops. We had a wonderful event there back in May with the Resilience Institute. It was a beautiful space. My thoughts of compassion go out to everyone affected. 💜

Yesterday was a 28 emails day, 4 phone calls, 4 event site map revisions, and a head down event planning. A 10 hour workday. You wouldn’t believe the logistics of planning a 400 people event! But we are almost there, and with every day our excitement grows.
Today I am off to visit our beautiful venue Quaaout Lodge and Talking Rock Golf and watch the teepees being put up. 😌 I hope you have a wonderful day! 💕

I am looking for few more volunteers to help us out on Sun. Aug 18, 2024 for the Skwlax Commemoration of the Wildfire event at the Quaaout Lodge & Talking Rock Golf Course.
Volunteer tasks include: managing parking; helping with setup - easels, signs, games, water & non-alcoholic beverage stations setup & making sure they're replenished throughout the event, helping cultural activities team with hanging things for kids scavenger hunt and more; hauling boxes - there will be a Large Circle gifting; manning the welcome/registration table, give directions, etc. Also helping with takedown after the event of all items we have setup.

My friend and I were suppose to hike this area today as to determine how accessible it is for hiking, but it was so extremely hot & still a very active construction site! And then we were blessed meeting Barbara and Kris who work there 🥹 We were so thankful for Kris taking us in his big truck to help us get the job done fast and efficient. Thanks to them we didn’t pop like popcorn 🍿😆
And I’m also thankful to my friend who was ready to hike with me in the heat. That’s what I call a true friend. 💗
PS: And after today, I want to own a big truck, become a country girl and go drive in the wild!! 🤠
