Did you know that the first production electric car was revealed in 1884?

Porsche produced an electric vehicle in 1898, and then created the world’s first hybrid shortly after.

Mercedes-Benz also created an electric vehicle called the Mercedes Mixte in 1906, and it was actually used as a taxi!

Early into the 1900's, a third of all vehicles on the road were electric, but they started to disappear around 1920 with the introduction of combustion cars by Henry Ford.

I'm so grateful for what I had created in the past online. I was looking through messages from my YouTube days and they're unbelievably wholesome and a delight to read.

I've been thinking about creating a video for YouTube for the first time in ages, with updates on what I've been up to and some insight on where my original diagnosis of ADHD has led me in life.

I'm curious to know how many of my followers still see these posts and of those, who would be interested in a video like this. If you're interested, don't hesitate to ask questions that you'd like to see answered in the video!

Events? Birthdays? You bet. Weddings? Of course. I like these dynamic environments, as they challenge my framing, lighting and ability to work on the fly.
Sue at curated some amazing food, people and atmosphere while catering for a private birthday party and truly dazzled the guests with a 6 course meal of intricate flavors and design.

Incredible! Sandy found HIS original VW van in Ontario 3 decades after selling it! He recognized it by that custom window, contacted the owner, travelled across Canada to get in and DRIVE IT BACK to Alberta with his daughter and himself enjoying the open road. What an adventure!
We parked and chatted vans and life, and continued on our ways. I love van people. Thank you for being such a groovy cat.

Took a stranger to the drive-in in a 42 year old campervan, met two parrots whos human servants carry them in backpacks to watch movies. Skittles and Basil watched their predecessors eat humans, while and I watched Jaws for the first...and last time. This is not a madlib.

Spent a wonderful evening by the fire with the parents. Music, cheese stuffed sausages and Dad was serving drinks under the star-speckled sky out here where they're much clearer than near the city. ❤
Geek Stuff: all 50 feet of led edison lights run from my 600w power inverter, and all interior lights running off AA batteries. Van plugged in charges 12v batteries and runs the bar fri-...er... fridge. 😋 heated by a 9k BTU Buddy Heater, safe with o2 shut off and my own c02 meter.

Nothing will top a day of building a log cabin with .loney out in the warm weather in the middle of Canada's wilderness.

I don't let dreams get far out of reach, and along with having an adventure van, building my own log cabin home has always been a dream. I grew up in a log home, and the satisfaction of building my own house would be a truly wonderful accomplishment.

My general rule of thumb is to not own anything I can't repair myself. That entails a lot of learning, and here I am doing exactly that thanks to the amazing knowledge and the straight up good dude that Kyle is.

Let's look at it with fresher eyes. We can still explore the outdoors. We can still jump in a lake when it gets warmer, and we can still lay or play in the sun with our kids. Let's take this time to enjoy our homes, our loved ones and all of the things we have right now.

You can't touch this $110,000 dollar Chevy Bel Air convertible on display. Surely you can't get inside and have a smoke either. Nor can you do a photoshoot portraying these things.
Search hard enough for something and I'm sure you'll find the answers.
People have asked me repeatedly how I've done certain projects or gotten away with things like driving through Costco, shutting down a train station, or shooting in this superbly rare car.
The answer is simple.
People.
None of those things were accomplished single-handedly. I knew a person. We formed a relationship, and imagination and collaboration took us to where it went.
My advice? My single most important bit of life advice?

This is a single frame from a music video I shot for $0. The reward was creative output and a new relationship with a great man. Afterwards, three massively well known bands watched this video and conversations began.

It's not about money or how many views you get. It's about the quality of the views and the relationships you gain.

I've had millions of people watch my content and I made a few thousand bucks from YouTube revenue. The contacts I made from simply putting myself out there has been unexplainably larger and more rewarding.

1. Be you.
2. Appreciate others.
3. Repeat.

I get comments about my optimism or positive attitude from time to time, and I attribute it to exactly this. Moving my body. I run on my treadmill or take part in yoga classes to keep my body in motion, because I'm confident after years of trial, that it HEAVILY boosts my mood and how I feel overall, especially in winter months.

If you're looking for winter solutions that work, I have a few recommendations:

1. Keep your vitamin D levels up.

2. Get plenty of light, and keep your house lit bright until normal night time hours, or use a blue light for 20 mins a day
(Light Therapy Light ---> amzn.to/2ql6wIZ)

3. Move your body. Do it at home, or attend places like Zen Fitness (thanks for sharing) and do it with a group of similarly-minded people.

4. Stay hydrated. The winter months can cause your house heating system to dry the air impacting your sleep and hydration levels.

5. Monitor Indoor air quality. Use even a simple filtering system of some sort. Your windows are constantly closed. Open them to get fresh air!

Just some ideas to keep you feeling your best during the next few months. I hope they help!
