The passing of anti-trans legislation in Alberta this week demonstrates a continued and misguided attack on the safety and well-being of trans youth and 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Alberta. We at pflag Canada stand firmly against the passing of these harmful laws that are rooted in fear and misinformation, and run counter to the advice of Canadian medical associations . The impact to 2SLGBTQIA+ communities is and will be devastating.

The Shoebox Project for Women is an unaffiliated, non-religious, Canadian charity that supports women experiencing or at-risk-of homelessness, and that celebrates diversity, builds awareness, challenges stigma and promotes equity.

When we use the term 'women' we use it in an inclusive manner and are mindful of the diverse and intersecting identities of the people who we support.
