About the Horse

Philia (Greek for virtuous friend) is a registered pure Spanish Andalusian mare with many national titles to her name. She is 15.2 Hands High (62 inches) at the wither (shoulder). Her mother had the distinction of being the Canadian National Champion Andalusian mare in 2009, and Philia the Reserve National Champion Filly. The Andalusian is a noble and rare breed from Spain bred for the bull fighting ring and high level dressage. They are known for their power, agility, beauty, regalness, virility and kindness. Although calm and extremely well trained, Philia has the brio for which the breed is known. She has a glorious long, thick, full mane and tail that can be left flowing and natural or can be braided and adorned as you wish. Philia is safe around children, dogs and other animals. She can be posed for photos, ridden to the venue or used as a prop for such things as wedding proposals.
