Based out of Whistler (BC, Canada), Miss KosmiK is on a mission to make the world a better place using the power of music. Marie's passion for diverse sound has fostered a successful career as a DJ and promoter through herself made enterprises of Hilltrip and KosmiK productions. The KosmiK journey began in Quebec when she organized the first Rave in her hometown of Chicoutimi under KosmiK in 1996.
Kosmik's appeal is reflected in her keen song selection and intuitive mixing style which impacts the peak collective pulse of the crowd which has the ability to generate a formidable tidal wave of energy, leaving her fans awash with electric smiles. Her ability to play broad range of music genres set to different time, vibes and taste has given KosmiK the opportunity to play in a wide range of musical gatherings. Known for her funkiness, mixing bass heavy baselines with uplifting grooves, you can be sure to get moving with her funky beats covering many genres, moods and tempos. It’s part of her quest to connect with the multi-faceted life on earth experience we share. Of highlights; Miss KosmiK has played a set at Electric Love Music Festival 2016, MEME 2016, 2015 and 2014, sets at The Village Stage/Shambhala with Stevie James in 2013 & 2011, a set at the Labyrinth/Shambhala in 2012, sets at Envision 2014 and 2013, Believe Freedom Festival 2013, FAME 2013, Bushwacked 2014, Burning Man 2012, EarthDance Vancouver 2012, Sexy Sounds 2011, SCOTT 2010 & 2011, as well as Bass Coast 2010 (House House Stage), 2011 & 2012 (Roadz Less Traveled), and the Mogul Smoker 2011 and 2013. In 2012, she toured BC showcasing the ELECTRONIC AWAKENING documentary. In Whistler, she hosted several events such as Frequency Fridays, BallistiK Jam and the BIG BANG Winter Solstice among others. These days, she can be found spinning Drum & Bass as part of the Whistler Junglists crew and played alongside the likes of Stickybuds, JPOD, Fort Knox Five, Slynk,The Funk Hunters, Featurecast, Kenny Ken, Logistics, Black Sun Empire, Bladerunner, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, LWSD, Neighbour, Woodhead, just to name a few. For the past three summers, Marie KosmiK went on her KosmiK FestiF Tour playing several music festivals in Canada including the first New Leaf Festival which she help produced in Pemberton.
