For me, what’s one of the best parts of being a wedding planner? Witnessing true love up close—it’s raw, beautiful, and absolutely contagious. Brianne and Austin’s connection was undeniable from the first moment I met them, and their vows? Some of the most heartfelt and authentic I’ve ever heard. Not a dry eye in the house! Growing up my mom always made it clear she wasn’t trying to be my friend; she would always be my mother first. Back then, I couldn’t understand it; I wanted the fun, easygoing mom. But looking back on my teenage years, I realize how fortunate I was that she stayed true, even when I pushed boundaries and tested her patience at every turn.
I needed a strong woman to guide me through the rollercoaster of adolescence, to help shape me into a balanced and capable woman. And now, as an adult, I’ve come to appreciate those turbulent years and the depth of our bond that it helped forge. She’s not just my mother anymore; now she’s my friend. It took time, many arguments and tears but it was so worth it.
Here’s to the special love only a mother can give, and to the friendship we’ve built along the way. Cheers to my best friend, Mom.

The Community Conversation Experience

Sunday Dinner and Dialogue Series 2 –
Words of Wisdom


The Fine Print:

Dialogue Topic: “Words of Wisdom” – exploring and reflecting on sayings, quotes, and aphorisms that inspire, provoke thought, generate insights and catalyze lively conversation. The facilitator will (pre)select three “wise sayings” which will be used as the foundation for an engaging and highly interactive dinner discussion. The quotes will be shared one at a time throughout the evening.

When: Sunday, October 22nd from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. PLEASE BE ON TIME as it’s important we begin all together as a group.

Where: quiet, peaceful rural acreage home in Brentwood Bay area.

What’s included: welcome cocktail and canapes, fully catered delicious gourmet dinner with a selection of local wines, and stimulating group dialogue – all for only $45 (just to over costs)

Registration: Event is strictly limited to 8 guests, plus the host and facilitator. If you’re interested in joining our table, please email ([email protected]) and in a few sentences tell us a little about yourself and why you’d like to attend. Guest list will be finalized and confirmed by October 16th.

All guests are asked to please bring their own “wise words” - a short saying that has been helpful, instructive, inspiring, provocative etc. for you – to share with the group as means of getting to know each other and “spreading the wisdom”…

Born, raised and based in beautiful Victoria, BC I am naturally drawn to the enticing serenity of the ocean, escaping into the stillness of the forest and clearing my mind with the pureness of the mountain air. My name Caleigh has the French origin of “from the forest”. Growing up I was exposed to my colorful parent’s amusements of hosting lively social gathers ranging from intimate dinner parties to wild backyard Luaus. Being surrounded by loved ones is something that resonates deeply with me and I get pure pleasure from the collective ‘joy’ that food, music and good company brings forth; I am so passionate about it in fact that I chosen it as my career path and vocation. Each event I organize always includes a little piece of my heart and soul
