My company is all about keeping it interesting. Did you know we can do on ice set ups? I know what you’re thinking “what like it’s hard?” 😆 BUT did you also know I could actually BE the live on ice entertainment too? No, I don’t mean when I fall off my step ladder while still on my step ladder (one time 🙄). So if you’re looking for some cheap party tricks by an ex figure skater and need some decorating done, you know who to call. I promise it would be entertaining 😳😆 😉

Not the greatest photos but I had to run before it was 💯 complete. I had fun decorating the Skate Sea2Sky - Squamish Skating Club Christmas Parade float. The Ice show theme this year is Circus so we had the skaters dressed in show costumes complete with a ring master and a bunch of caged circus animals. Make sure you come out to watch the Show Dec 7 & Dec 11, by donation.

Just chilling out tonight with all the local talent for the Choice Awards 🏆 . With the greatest award of all going to Karyn Smith for Best Volunteer 👌. And let’s face it, that award trumps all others! Congratulations to all the winners including my hard working husband for Best Contractor, and my Mom’s store for Best Customer Service and Best Hardware Store, 18 years and counting! Thanks for voting Squamish!

The Gala was a success again this year. I even got to walk away with a gift certificate from the silent auction. Whoo! Unfortunately I didn’t get any decor shots with it all lit up, so these will have to do.

There is beauty, even in chaos. Today was an interesting day waking up to find out about the Sea to Sky Gondola tragedy. Thankfully I didn’t have any weddings booked up there today but managed to assist in accommodating the couple that was and fielded emails and calls of panicked planners looking for advice. I finished the set up at this lovely CN Roundhouse wedding, quickly dropped off linens to NR and back to see the ceremony of my couple. I feel for all the couples and planners that have to now find new venues in the days to come. The chain effect of this incident has affected so many people including a few traffic accidents. 😢 It just goes to show why you should stick with local vendors as much as you can for Sea to Sky weddings. And if you can’t, insist your vendors arrive hours before they need to be there. Of the 3 weddings I was involved with today, ALL were waiting on late vendors or family stuck on the highway. It’s just not worth the added stress on your big day.

It's a family affair. Lol. Congratulations to my husband for the well deserved for Best Contractor~Wentworth Construction. Thanks to everyone who voted for us. It is truly amazing to have the recognition from the community when most of the time our noses are to the grindstone. Like Chris says... he builds houses by day and weddings by night 😂 So I couldn't have made it through the last few years without you. Sorry I can't swing a hammer better to repay you. I think that's repayment in itself 😆 Congratulations to our fellow winners! .
