I’ve copied this from another thread, and post because I believe:

I was at Winners today and heard a loud crash and something shattering. Being nosy, I walked toward the sound and saw people whispering and looking toward the end of the next aisle. I walked down that aisle, and I saw that an older lady had bumped a shelf and many things had fallen to the ground and broke. She was kneeling on the floor embarrassed, frantically trying to clean up. I felt for her as people stood by staring at her. I went and knelt beside her and told her not to worry and started helping her pick up the broken pieces.

After about a minute, the store manager came and knelt beside us and said, “leave it, we will clean this up.” The lady responded, still clearly embarrassed, “I need to pay for all of this.” The manager smiled, helped her to her feet and said, “no ma’am, we have insurance for this, you do not have to pay anything.”

Wherever you are, close your eyes, and imagine “ out Creator”, whoever that is to you, doing the same for you.

Imagine the broken pieces of your mistakes, or the pieces of your broken heart, from all the blows life has thrown at you all over the floor, and you’re there trying to collect all of the pieces and fix them yourself.

Now imagine “our Creator” comes and kneels beside you, smiles, and says, “leave it all there, I will clean this up for you.”

They love you that much and wants to put all of those pieces back together if you will let them.

With them, we have this insurance and it’s called GRACE, and it’s free. All you need is a little bit of belief.

What a year we have experienced! As we walk into the light of the new year I pray that hope is abundant. Let us walk gently forward taking the gift of last years experience to inform our journey. What gift did this past year give you say?!? While that is a deeply personal reflection for each of us I submit that we may have universally come to understand what is truly most important in our lives.
For me there are a few things, cherished family....differences fade in the reality of loss. A sense of worth that comes from lifting each other up even in the smallest of ways like a red heart in the window, an act of kindness unseen, or the ringing of bells on your doorstep which no one may hear. The understanding that a blessing unshared becomes a burden, and most of all knowing that there is a wellspring of strength inside fueled by faith, hope and charity, a wellspring we all share. We are one, we beautiful souls, on our human journey.
