We had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of attending Music PEI’s Showcase conference this last week, and we’re totally blown away by the talent and energy of the musicians and music industry workers we met!!! As an organization we have been very lucky to keep programming through all the limitations, especially while not being able to create the typical QBP experience in small venue spaces. Losing Taco Pica has hit the scene in SJ incredibly hard, and we know that we need to get creative to make sure that DIY spaces don’t disappear completely. Attending this conference gave us a huge boost, and we’re so excited to bring some of these artists to Saint John when we are able. Thank you to for treating us so kindly, to for the inspiring work you do in Fredericton, and to every artist who went out on a limb and showcased this week! Pictured here is the amazing who made our organizer cry and dance at the Emerging Artist showcase!! ❤️❤️

The first annual Saint John Girls+ Rock Camp registration is LIVE for girls and gender-creative youth, ages 10-18! Learn a new instrument, form a band, and perform your set all in one intensive week of fun, music-making, and community building! This camp is organized with support from the amazing Fredericton Girls+ Rock Camp and Local 107.3fm and takes place August 23-27 at the InterAction School of Performing Arts with a showcase at the iconic Imperial Theatre !!!! We are so excited to support this camp! LET'S ROCK!

We are pleased to announce our first annual Saint John Girls+ Rock Camp, for girls and gender-creative kids! Saint John Girls+ Rock Camp exists to introduce young folks to the wonderful world of music making! Campers will learn a new instrument, or new techniques on one they already play, form a band, and perform in a showcase at the end of the week! This camp is free and is for girls, trans youth, and gender-creative youth. The classes and workshops will be instructed by New Brunswick musicians and industry professionals, with a focus on fun, safety, and inclusion in the music scene. Campers will not only learn an instrument, but learn to take up space on a stage, the basics of live sound, poster-making, merch crafting, and how to be an active member of the creative community in Saint John and New Brunswick. This camp is organized with support from the Fredericton Girls+ Rock Camp (Charlotte Street Arts Centre) , Local 107.3fm , and Quality Block Party . Thank you especially to the The Greater Saint John Community Foundation , City of Saint John and the Saint John Community Arts Board , without whom we could not present this camp!

The camp takes place August 23rd-27th at the InterAction School of Performing Arts with a live showcase at the Imperial Theatre on August 28th! Registration is open now on a first-come, first-serve basis. Let's rock!
