Site visit this morning. With this Covid situation there have been plenty of delays for everything. The home is still not 100% ready, no furniture yet but the kitchen and the cabinetry are finished. I temporarily loaned my client the bar stools I had sitting in my basement since getting furniture has been a very slow process due to all the suppliers and manufacturers that were closed for months. And now are backlogged trying to fulfil orders. I am hopeful that by the end of August with fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞sooner that the new build house will be finally be finished and I can share a more completed space. This is the first time I’ve ever specified and designed a dark grey kitchen or used black stainless steel appliances. I’m quite pleased with the results, especially paired with the white quartz countertops and pale grey wall colour. P.S- colour will be happening .

Current Wednesday situation. A slight case of cabin fever and green envy for this updated and quaint cabin kitchen. And it’s all I had hoped it would be for my friend. A calming, updated retreat on a wooded hillside where the inside is reflective of the natural surroundings. Not too posh. A note of cabin authenticity. Forcing spring over here by forcing Forsythia branches. Picked on Friday, smashed the bottoms with a hammer and popped into a large vase with warm water. After a couple days freshen up the water with clean room temp water. Et voila, fresh spring flowers a month ahead

We recently inherited this beautiful piano from Peters late Uncle, Harry Norton. It’s a nice memory to have since we will be missing his presence this Christmas. Harry had a great eye and fabulous taste, I’d like to think that he would have loved the way I worked it into our den and decorated it. The water colour painting above the piano was painted by his friend Jeannie and will be a constant reminder of Harry. It’s of him at his cottage. I’m hoping to learn to play something a little more interesting than the scale.

A very Pinteresting idea because obvs I’ve been watching too many holiday baking shows in lieu of sappy Christmas movies. I made this cake yesterday for a birthday and Christmas celebration last night at our house. The sugared cranberries and sugared rosemary were very easy to make. Boil 1/2 cup of each sugar and water until the sugar dissolves, then cool slightly. Place washed berries and fresh rosemary sprigs in a bowl and pour over the sugar water. Soak for a minimum of 2 hours, remove and set on baking racks to dry until they still have some stickiness. Add some white sugar to a plate and roll the berries and the sprigs in the sugar and dry on a paper towel. Once dried decorate a home made cake or a store bought cake for a very festive and truly seasonal Christmas dessert. The sugared berries are also perfect little bites on their own. A combo of tart and sweet for a perfect palette cleanser. I hope I’ve inspired you to give it a try! @ Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Beautiful resort design. Pretty great inspiration for a black and white dining room as seen in the private dining salon. The mouldings, the styled shelving, the modern light, all that marble, the black leather chairs and the soft drapes, each element works perfectly in balance with the other creating a carefully crafted interior of both modern and traditional styles

Happy Sunday. I was at a garden party last night and they had the most magnificent flowering tree I have ever seen. A Pink Japanese Dogwood with graceful arching branches literally covered in these pink flowers. They said it was blooming for 2 months. I took a little blossom from it and now I want one for my yard.

There is absolutely no accessory better than fresh flowers. In anticipation of a rainy weekend I did some flower shopping in my garden. These white flowers are from one of my spiraea bridal wreath shrubs. They have a slight pleasant fragrance, are low maintenance and when they bloom they are absolutely magnificent. Very showy flowers. A couple of years ago one of my design clients had a landscape plan done up and asked me to have a look for my opinion. I am no landscaper by any means but it took me about 5 minutes looking at the plan to determine there were very few flowering plants in the plan. My advice to her was to discuss it with them and ask for shrubs and plants that produce flowers. After all who doesn’t like flower shopping in their own gardens? She agreed with me and now has her own blooms to bring in at different times in the spring and summer. So next up waiting for my peonies to come to bloom. 🙋🏼🙋🏼🙋🏼

Hi Friends, my son Parker Snow has just finished his first year of studying business at Holland College and is going on to year 2 in the fall. He is on summer break and working part time at Staples. There are never enough hours.

Parker has always been part of my design business and helped me in my shop assembling furniture, when needed, since he was 16. He's very good at it, fast and efficient and very reasonable rates. The pictures indicate some of the work he has done for my business.
