Do you want to take your playing to the next level? We have just what you may be looking for. Our High Level Workshops are taught by festival performers and will provide you an opportunity to learn from the best. For more information or to register bluegrassnorth.com/rivercity-high-level-workshops

FBMS is excited to be offering a new slo-pitch jam format for the 2024/2025 jamming season! Our first session will be held Thursday, November 14th from 7-10PM! All ages and experience levels welcome!

This monthly event will take place at the same location as our usual jams at the Irish Cultural Society in Bowness (6452 35 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T3B 1S6) on the second Thursday of every month from 7-10PM. The jam will be hosted by an experienced FBMS member to facilitate a friendly environment where new jammers can try out their skills, learn jamming tips and etiquette, and have a ton of fun! Instructional materials (chord charts, etc.) will be available at the jam for those who would like to use them. Send us a DM if you’d like to be added to the Slo-Pitch email list and receive updates and learning materials in advance of the jam.

We are very honored to announce the band “Third Harmony” to join our next Bluegrass Festival line-up.
This great band is well known for their excellent harmonies, picking and solid performances!
Here`s a list of the band members:
Marcel Duplessis (base and vocals)
Dan Maillet (banjo, guitar and Vocals)
Natasha Richard (fiddle and vocals)
Ron Savoie (mandolin, guitar and vocals)
Gerry Richard (guitar and vocals)
We hope everyone will join us on the weekend of August 22 - 24, 2025.
