From Ontario Wedding Association - OWA

Here’s what we know so far about the vaccine certificates.

Starting September 22nd, 2021 Meeting and Event spaces will have to screen for vaccinations for guests that are eligible to receive the vaccine. Only those that are fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter their space. This is for indoor weddings only.

Outdoor spaces are exempt from this. If an individual is medically exempt from the vaccines, they will be able to enter the space so long as they provide the appropriate documents.

Guests will be able to show a negative covid test to enter the space as well, but this is only an option until October 12th, 2021. After the 12th, this will no longer be accepted.

If your ceremony is happening within a religious building, there will be no requirement for vaccination to enter the building.

If your ceremony is happening within a meeting/event space there will be a requirement of vaccination.

There are no changes to the capacity limits at this time.

We are told the full legislation will be available as soon as possible.
