Big shout out to Linda & Phil Paulicelli, Terry & Danica Kyrzyk. A double wedding ceremony (held simultaneously) & receptions combined!!! Wow - what a barn burner this was! Dance floor packed, packed - PACKED!!! A great reception, lots of ukrainian food, raffles, humour, spot dances and good people from all over Canada - even Transcona! (Lmao!!!) Posting a quick vid from around 12:45am. Thank God for air conditioning is all I can say. Congratulations to our wonderful newlyweds. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day - Cheers!

This spring and summer is keeping us hopping with a full slate of bookings. However, due to various reasons, we have had a few people either change or cancel their upcoming dates. Mid to late month in September & October (both), have become available. Early & late November & December are also still available for this year. It can't be said enough, please PLEASE book your dates as soon as you know the venue has confirmed. We have had to turn so many away and refer them elsewhere because they thought 3 weeks might be enough time to book ahead!!! Please book your vendors as soon as you know your date is confirmed... especially your day's primary entertainment! If you have any questions, contact us any time. Advice is always free. Best wishes for all of you planning your weddings and other life-changing events!

We weren't able to get any pics of the fabulous wedding we did on Saturday but this is a big shout out to the terrific couple; Rebecca and Steven Stadnyk for a great wedding day. Ceremony at Leo Mol Gardens; Reception at Southwood Golf Club. I'd also like to mention Leanne from Prairie Sky Events who was simply amazing at her craft the entire day. Pym photography who ran the photobooth were also great in their accommodations in handling multiple groups. Congratulations and great job everybody.

I cannot believe it's been 3 years already!! We'll be performing again at the sturgeon c.c. this June for a great couple, and will have an even bigger (non-blinding) light show to wow the crowd. Pics below were a small experiment in UV lighting. We have since perfected this art of lighting the hall in a flourescent wash without blinding an audience. Using several high & low-powered UV lamps with the "correct frequency" really makes a big difference. To that end, we will be doing a full-on Glow Social at the South Wpg C.C. (formerly Waverly C.C.) on April 23rd. Everyone is expected to be in flourescent colours and makeup. It is bound to be Epic. Contact Avery Goodwin-Stam for tickets. We'll see you there!

Hey all true believers! Been trying to capture some vids but the last attempt bombed. Somehow, we lost some great vids on our phones and were only able to salvage brief clips from two of them. Man, this is harder than you think! Anyway, we were rockin' Selkirk last weekend at Haley and Anders awesome social. This clip - they're getting going to a line dance, (the next they were bouncing up & down and twirling, but as soon as you pull the camera out, they stop - c'mon!!) Well, it was fantastic to say the least. We've got many more coming this year, and more keep coming in every week. We'll try to keep you up to date. Don't forget, we can recommend vendors in all areas, we have low down payments, and we assist you as much or as little as you like - your choice. But contact us earlier rather than later for the best chance at gaining these advantages. SO GLAD TO BE BACK ROCKIN' THE WORLD !!!!!!

Aside from our usual fare at New Year's Eve events, I did an event for a young couple who combined their Wedding Reception with a New Year's Eve party. With the onset of even more pandemic restrictions coming, I just wanted to say how terrific this couple was in the way they held themselves, and how they demonstrated their maturity and professionalism in planning and in the ex*****on of special dance performances, and several other itinerary events. The evening was even better with the assistance of their wedding planner Ashley of White Ivy Weddings! Of course, the crowd remained seated as instructed and we enjoyed the bulk of the evening listening and table boppin' to great tunes of all genres.
So this is just a big 'shout-out' to all those in attendance on NYE, that stuck by the restrictions imposed, had a great flow to their evening overall, and still had a great time. I had to switch from our excellent dance lighting setup to some minor decorative lighting to accommodate the 'no dance' rule, (as is in the pic below), but a totally great time had by all. It is possible to follow through with a large planned event, have no dancing and still come out on top! I even got a great tip out of it! The excellent 5-star review posted on the Medallion Sound Google Business page is as follows:

"Darrell did an incredible job at our wedding reception. His music selections fit the event extremely well and ensured that we had a lively evening. High praise from this wonderful lady as we completed her amazing wedding near the end of September. A perfect day and perfect guests all around. The organizational flow was perfect. From the ceremony, over cocktails, dinner and the reception, we couldn't have asked for a better day. Soooo happy to have been there for Christine and Stephen. This is her email a few days after ..

"Darrell .. we just wanted to reach out and say Thank You so much for everything. We had so much fun at the wedding and received a lot of compliments on the music. I did not think that I was going to be having that much fun and dancing right to the end at 31 weeks pregnant, so my expectations were definitely exceeded!! This is a photo of me swapping out the old feet on one of our subwoofers for non-marking castors. Had to Firework the photo as there was a nasty beam of light right down the middle!
We're letting people know that we are still here. The pandemic has shut us down until normal gathering sizes resume here in Manitoba. Couples are either moving their dates or booking larger gathering sizes well into 2022, to be sure they can celebrate the way they want. (Kudos to all of you who are doing your best to work your way through these very difficult times.)
In the meantime, we continue to update our company procedures, materials, and lots of training .. and re-training! Being a Master of Ceremony is not the easiest task. But, we've been there in the past and we're getting even better now. The down-time allows us to better ourselves at everything our DJ industry demands. From the best mixing / DJ courses, to marketing, vocal M.C. direction, web page development and yes, even accounting - our skills and service continue to improve. The benefit is strictly to serve our clients in the best way we know possible.
We have a comprehensive survey and something else coming soon that you'll want to keep an eye out for.
