Today we were asked to create all local floral centerpieces for a reception. Between field grown blooms from our farmer friends and greenhouse grown local beauties from and we did it! Sometimes it takes a village and I’m thankful for mine.

Happy first day of spring!! Out here in Fort Erie we are watching the snow fly but I am optimistic that spring is on its way. Until all this snow melts I will dream of May weddings with fragrant lilac and amazing peony type tulips.

Happy Holidays to everyone. I hope you are having the best time with family. We are so thankful for another fantastic year here at Lush.
I decided to throw it back to a warm memory of this Christmas shoot with friends. Some have moved on from the wedding industry but we still love spending time with them.

Sometimes the process isn’t always super pretty but I’m very thankful for this career of mine. The first large snowfall of the season always reminds me of the job I left to get here. I would be outside shoveling and salting all day today if I was still a gardener. Instead I’m singing at the top of my lungs to my favorite music and creating 75 centerpieces for a corporate event. Most importantly: I’m watching the snow outside the window. (Not shoveling it!!)
Huge thanks to for our new garage addition which has allowed for a bit of overflow from our original studio. Who are we kidding I give it 6 months before the other side is Lush territory full time.

Hey it’s me! Here is a bit of honesty: I have been at this now for 16 years (self employed) and I still have extreme butterflies every time I deliver a bridal bouquet. I ask a million questions in my consultations, provide tons of pictures to make sure I understand the vision and yet I still hold my breath every delivery. I think I will do this until the day I retire. Just know that we still strive to make your bouquet out of this world amazing.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of creating romantic blooms for Samantha and Matt.
We had the pleasure of working with our friend at John Michael’s.
The huge grin and happiness that met me at the door when I delivered Samantha’s bouquet was the best greeting ever. Her energy was infectious and I think that definitely came through in her day.
