It's been more than two years since these two said their vows in a beautiful and intimate elopement. The ceremony was small, but the feelings were not. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It's rare that I meet a couple who has to work as hard as these two have to be together. Their commitment to each other and to their marriage is epic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I have a couple of books on the go right now - and thanks to my kids, very little time to read.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you ever need a 'cotton candy' recommendation I'm your girl! I love fluff and chic lit and whatever else you want to call it - yes I read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy - I know it's not literary excellence and I don't care! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That being said, ever since my son's diagnosis, I have been devouring non-fiction resources like it's my job (it kinda is right?)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So right now, I'm working through two different titles, Raising Human Beings and Creating Your Own Calm - very different but equally great!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This past weekend brought with it some intense emotions, tears, pain and some joy for balance. It was incredible knowing that I have a partner for it all. A quiet morning, savouring a steaming cup of coffee while my kiddos brows for decadent sweet treats...it's Easter 2021⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀.. but not at my house!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's Easter number two in this global pandemic saga and it isn't going to be all that different than the last. So while it's just the four of us - and my amazing hubby definitely made a steaming cuppa coffee for me - there was no quiet to be had as our kiddos tore the house apart - that whole insta vs. reality thing I guess.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today, as I served my daughter cheerios frozen in milk and my son a glass of vinegar (I know, as far as April Fools goes it was weak but I tried so we'll call it a win), I was thinking of all that I am grateful for in my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's been a ride this past year, my business hit a pause - thanks to a little global pandemic - and our lives turned upside down. Though we had a few growing pains, we eventually hit our stride and this man has continued to be my rock. I have a lot to be grateful for but he is at the top of the list. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
