With gloomy skies and snow falling this morning, someone please take me back to this perfect sunny August day with these 2 stunning beauties 🤍🥰

When I first met A+S I instantly felt we were a match made in planning heaven. So needless to say when they told me they wanted to secure me for Wedding Management services, I was over the moon excited! Like so many other couples, restrictions and lockdowns derailed their original 2020 plans but that didn’t stop them from planning a beautiful celebration this year. Every aspect of their special day was filled with meaningful personal touches to make their celebration a true reflection of them and their love story. Months later and I’m still so impressed that they baked and packaged all their cookie favours, which were adorably shaped and decorated as wedding dresses 😍

I love doing what I do so couples can not only have moments like this but truly enjoy them to the fullest✨

Hello Everyone!

The Wedding Pixie is looking to grow for the 2022+ Wedding Season by adding 2-3 amazing individuals to our day-of assistant roster.

Although we are happily based in Stoney Creek, The Wedding Pixie is sprinkling the special on weddings from Toronto to Niagara and we are SUPER excited for all the weddings we have coming up next year and beyond. We were also just recently recognized in the community by winning Gold in the 2021 Hamilton Spectators Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Wedding/Event Planner.

✨Compensation and Hours✨

Day-of assistant positions will be compensated at an hourly rate, which will be discussed during our interview, but the number of hours required at each wedding is approximately 6 hours. The number of hours required of course does vary depending on the scope of the wedding and its complexities.
All assistants will be asked to sign a contract (as an independent contractor) and will be a representative of The Wedding Pixie on each wedding day.

*Experience in wedding coordination/management
*Upbeat friendly personality with a can-do attitude
*Detail oriented
*Strong communication skills
*Your own transportation
*Fully stocked emergency kit

With another wedding season all tied up, someone needs to pinch me...just HOW am I so gosh darn fortunate to work with amazing couples year after year is beyond me 🥰

Hello to all you lovely people!

Whether you’re new friend or have been hanging out with me for a while, I’ve been a little MIA for the past few months as I hustled my way through wedding season. With things starting to slow down, I thought I’d jump on here to share some random bits and bobbles for . Let’s get rollin...

🏠 Although I have spent some years living in downtown Toronto and Oakville, the place I call home is Hamilton, Ontario. My heart has always been here because this is where family is.

👦🏻 Speaking of family, my favourite human being is my scrumptiously cute nephew, Lucas. I may not have kiddos of my own but I love him as if he were. Of all the roles and titles I have in my life, being an aunt, HIS aunt, is the BEST.

🏖My happy place is the beach. I feel beyond grateful to live 5 mins from the Hamilton Waterfront Trail and you can find me there daily doing my 10k walks. This has become my sanctuary...a place to go to clear my head and find my sense of calm.

📷 After procrastinating for far too long, I finally got new headshots thanks to the talented and always absolutely delightful . Being in front of the camera has never been easy for me but with her behind the lens making me laugh, I actually had SO MUCH fun.

🧩 🍷 🛁 With the days getting shorter and cooler, I love this time of year. For me, it’s all about being cozy with good wine, bubble baths and puzzles!

😍Candles, patio dinners with my besties, rain/snow storms, sunrise, full moons, everything and anything Disney, the scent of vanilla and wandering aimlessly around Indigo looking for my next favourite book are just a few of my favourite things.

Someone pinch me. Days later and I’m still over here beaming with all the smiles, pride and gratitude. On Friday October 1st, Soundslikeyellowphotography] Samantha Forrest] and I were finally able to host our pop up weddings and IT. WAS. EVERYTHING we hoped and imagined it would be🤍 So much love went into this day to make sure it would be the most magical day for each of our 4 couples and to see it all come together and have it flow as smoothly as it is did, is something I am beyond proud of.

Mother Nature, thank you for the incredible gorgeous weather

Thank you to our 4 amazing couples who trusted us with their day. You each (and your guests) showed up on time with the biggest smiles on your face and as a planner I know this had a big impact on the overall success of the day.

Cue the confetti because our first wedding of the season is FINALLY happening in a few short weeks 🎉What a year it has been, especially for weddings but with Stage 3 just days away, I cannot wait to dust off my toolbelt, visit Dollarama to stock up on those must have items for my emergency kit and celebrate love with all my amazing couples once again. Weddings may still be smaller then normal and we still have to make tweaks to those plans to comply with guidelines and restrictions but it feels oh-so-good to dive into all the pretty of weddings and of course those details once again. My heart is grateful 🙏 My heart is full 🤍

Oh my happy, HAPPY heart! COVID restrictions may have derailed their plans for a BIG celebration but that didn’t stop A + D from officially becoming Mr. and Mrs. 🥂💍 Surrounded only by their immediate family, their special day was bursting with so much love and how STUNNING DO THEY LOOK?!! I may have done a few happy dances throughout the day 🥰 I’m so looking forward to next month when we get back to planning that BIG beautiful tent celebration happening in June 2022 🤍

Fellow planners, who remembers the days when rain in the forecast was a couple’s biggest concern leading up to their wedding day? 🙈🙋🏻‍♀️

In these times of ever changing restrictions and now armed with Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and even Plan D in some cases, I miss the simple days. BUT one thing is for sure, this past year has made us stronger planners and that is one thing I am grateful for.

To all future couples, if you are getting married in 2021 or beyond, do yourself a favour and hire a professional planner and coordinator. We will help you navigate these challenging times of restrictions and coloured recovery zones with guidance, support and drafting all those contingency plans.

There may still be snow on the ground in some spots but it sure is melting fast. With slightly higher temps and loads of warm sunshine, Spring is in the air and it’s glorious 🥰

I’m of course most pumped for wedding season but I’m also so excited at the thought of seeing new buds on trees soon and just the thought of flowers blooming is giving me all the feels!

We’ve been through a long winter with lockdowns but I’m feeling the shift and hope you are too!
