What an honour to have been nominated for an Essence and culture award back in December 2023. Tonight at the award ceremony I was the winner in my category of community service individual for my community work in the London community. I want to send out a sincere thank you to the individual(s) that nominated me. I would also like to thank everyone that voted 🗳️ for me as well as the ECA for putting this all together and for recognizing members of the community for all that they are doing in their respective field(s)/ area(s) of specialty. Last but not least I want to thank my beautiful daughter for accompanying me to this event she is so lovely 🥰 when I returned to my seat she told me the she was proud of me. I almost cried because quite frankly her words touched me and was beyond meaningful to me. She and her choir the London Gospel Collective were also nominee's at tonight's ECA ceremony.

A message from the London Black History Coordinating Committee:

To commemorate the 20 years of BHM celebrations, we will be remembering and honouring the people we have lost in our (Black London) community in the last 20 years. Please send name of someone we have lost (whether you knew them or not) so we can pause and honour their memories.

The remembrance will be part of the The Closing Ceremony for Black History Month on February 26, 2022.
