Elyse&Co was a dream of mine that became a reality in March of 2016. Whether you are dreaming up an elegant affair, or wanting to celebrate in a gorgeous backyard, we would love to be a part of your event. From Full Planning to setting your decor, we have got you covered. From fluffing the brides train to taking down the table numbers, we will be there. We are so excited to meet you and see your vision come to life!

Let’s chat about the difference between full planning and coordination when it comes to hiring a wedding planner! 💫

The two terms, wedding planning and wedding coordination, often get used interchangeably despite there being a significant difference between the two services! Like most wedding planning teams offer both services, so it’s important to understand the difference between the two so you can book the service that best suits you and your wedding.

In addition to our full-planning and coordination services, we also offer an “a la carte” option for those who only need help with specific tasks, as well as a design package! If you’re not sure what you need, we’re always happy to chat and help you decide. 💛

WEDDING DAY TIP: Make a plan for what to do with your wedding day florals once the day is over! 💛💐

Some couples may opt to take the florals home, but other couples simply don’t have the space or may be heading off on their honeymoon right away! It breaks our hearts to see the beautiful flowers go to waste, so if you won’t be taking them home yourself we highly recommend making a plan for what to do with them. Here’s three of our favourite ideas for what to do with your flowers at the end of the day 🌸

A guide to your wedding day music and all of the songs choices you’ll likely have to make. Music is a super important part of any wedding day, and there’s a lot of songs to be chosen! Some super obvious, others often forgotten. 🪩🎵

So often we hear couples share that one of the most difficult decisions to make is what songs they want to use throughout their wedding days, so we really recommend thinking about this as soon as possible to give yourself plenty of time to create the perfect wedding day soundtrack!

The rain absolutely did not stop J&A from having the most beautiful wedding day a couple of weekends ago at ☁️💫

From the weather to being in the heart of the city in Stanley park, this wedding was the quintessential Vancouver wedding day.

Living in Vancouver, weather is always a gamble, but rest assured our team is always ready to roll with mother nature’s punches! We’ve got clear, photo-friendly umbrellas on hand and will always have a rain plan in our back pocket to make sure you have your dream wedding day regardless of what the weather may look like. We were able to set up J&A’s ceremony inside the pavilion rather than out on the lawn and if we do say so ourselves, it turned out so beautifully and gave such a warmth and intimacy to their big moment 🤍

One of the many perks of having a planner or coordinator is that they’ll take care of this for you! That being said, your input as the bride or groom will be very important so it’s great to have an idea of what goes into creating a timeline. These tips are also extremely helpful if you’ll be creating your timeline yourself 🤍

OUR BIGGEST TIP FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY TIMELINE: Prioritize a slower paced morning and leave a little bit of extra time for getting ready! 💍🥂⁠

The way you go about your morning will set the tone for the rest of the day! If you start the day feeling stressed and overwhelmed, odds are that feeling will likely carry through every other part of the day. We can't emphasize enough how important it is to start your day with ease, love and joy - and the easiest way to accomplish that is by making sure your timeline supports it!⁠

The morning of the wedding is filled with so many precious memories - whether it's getting ready while sharing a mimosa with your bridesmaids, taking extra time to be fully present as you put on your dress and accessories or having a first look with your loved ones. These are moments that you'll cherish for the rest of your life, and we'd hate for any of them to be lost because of timing!⁠

There's often a lot to try and fit into a wedding day, so scheduling some time to simply be without a schedule can make your day feel so much more relaxed and natural! M&E took some time earlier in the day to wander through the park together and share a glass of bubbles before walking down the aisle and saying I do 💫⁠

What's more special than the moment you first see your partner on your wedding day? 🥺💞⁠

Don't get us wrong, we love when a couple sees each other for the first time during the ceremony too, but one of our favourite parts of a wedding day has to be a first look! ⁠
⁠
A first look is such a special, intimate moment to share with your partner before the rest of the day commences! On what is typically a busy day filled with so many friends and loved ones, a first look is one of the few moments that you'll get to share just between the two of you. ⁠
⁠
We love the raw emotions that occur during first looks - with no one around but you and your partner the need to "hold it all together" typically vanishes allowing tears, laughter and smiles to flow freely and naturally. ⁠
⁠
We also love a first look for its ability to help soothe any day of nerves, so often we see couples completely relax once they've seen each other making it so much easier for them to enjoy the rest of the day with ease! Another bonus of the first look is the ability to do most of your photos prior to the ceremony, which gives you so much more time to enjoy cocktail hour and the reception with your friends and family 💕⁠
