Hi friends, itβs been a minute, so let me reintroduce myself π
Iβm Nicola, the owner and founder of TwinFlower Studio. Almost 18 years ago, I had the dream of becoming a floral designer. I started from the ground up, slinging bouquets at a local grocery store, devouring any design material I could get my hands on, taking courses and classes to boost my repertoire.
I have had the privilege of working for some of Edmontonβs wonderful floral design companies, and gained incredible insight into the profession that I have come to know and love so well. It has been an incredible journey to create designs for countless weddings, events, and lifeβs special moments for the city I have always called home.
In 2020, I made the decision to start my own business and TwinFlower Studio was born. From humble beginnings as a home-based design studio operating out of my parentβs garage (thank you, Mom & Dad! β€οΈ), this dream of mine continued to grow.
In the spring of 2023, I opened the doors to my first retail location - a moment of intense excitement and only a lot of fear (would anyone show up? Was I crazy for doing this?). The next two years went by in a flash - TwinFlower Studio designed florals for over 100 weddings, spread love throughout the community, and built up an even more loyal clientele.
This past spring, I made the decision to move to a larger space in Glenora. The LRT construction was slowly decimating my old locationβs visibility and accessibility, and it was time for a change.
2025 has been nothing short of incredible - experiencing the joy I first felt about flowers through the eyes of our clients will never get old. The constant refrain of βwhat a beautiful store!β as people walk through our doors is proof enough that something magical has been created.
Iβm so excited for 2026 and all the magic we will create.
