Our Story

CHAI Weddings + Events began as a little dream of Owner & Creative Director, Denise Chai. Growing up with a love of painting, drawing, crafting and sewing, she hoped and dreamed that one day she would be able to make a living doing what she loved, making things BEAUTIFUL. She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University, a Visual Merchandising Arts Diploma from Sheridan College, a Wedding Coordination Certificate from the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada and became a Certified Florist from the Canadian Institute of Floral Design. Having worked in the Special Event and Retail Industry for the past 10 years, Denise has unsurpassed knowledge and experience under her belt. What makes CHAI Weddings+Events different from every other decor company out there? Denise has a true passion and love for what she does. No Event is too big or too small for CHAI Weddings+Events. Denise does her absolute best to make sure her clients are valued, they are heard, and that their Wedding Day runs as smoothly as possible. Creating stunning Wedding Backdrops and Jaw-Dropping Florals are the bloodline of CHAI Weddings+Events.
