This girl has decided to close her books for 2025. Do I have a full summer completely booked...no....Do I have weekends free...absolutely yes! But I made the decision for myself, my family and friends to take on less this coming year. So I'm stopping at 5 and seeing how that number feels for a season.

This will be a huge drop for me from 24 in 2023 and 16 this year but I am feeling good about the decision.

Will se how the 2025 season feel but for now going to just kick butt at the 2024 season!!

Today is a big day! We are celebrating 5 years of being in business. Our real anniversary is April 1st but today we are throwing ourselves a party! Being the client and the planner is no joke!

I want to thank everyone who has made this day possible and has supported me along the way. I am so excited to celebrate this team today.

Thank you to Kaitlyn, Mandy and Jenelle for being the best team ever! Our team is growing as well and I cannot wait to introduce you all to the new team members soon.

Happy International Women's Day to you all from this kick ass team!

I want to thank every women I get the opportunity to meet, work with and get to know because of this business. I am so grateful to get to work with so many inspiring, powerful and caring women in my life.

The second picture shows you a dress I got one year from the swap! Amazing clothes come from it.

It is in recognition of International Women's Day and everyone who identifies as women is welcome.

Making sure that you and your wedding party are taking care of throughout the night is one of Prairie Sky Events' secret sauce.

We will bring your head table drinks during dinner, make sure you have a fan if you need one, get you into your dress, bustle your dress when it's time (and re-bustle if needed) and so much more.

We want to be there to help and support you as needed on your wedding day. We love doing the little things that really are the big things to our clients and special people.

Something people might not know about me is that before the pandemic I never really cooked. My husband was the main chef in our house and I was just the sous-chef and did the dishes!

However, when the pandemic hit and my husband was on a covid project he was working around the clock and I was at home so I had to learn how to cook! Luckily I had some natural talent from watching my mom through the years and good recipes to follow. I now am more confident in the kitchen but it was stressful learning.

I got really good at making burrito bowls and still is a go to for me!

I am out this weekend at my first girls weekend in over 3 years and this was the ONLY weekend we can all make due (mostly due to me but my friends are also busy people :)) I promised them I wouldn't work too much but with wedding season in full swing there might be some working while they read. ​​​​​​​​

This recognition means so much to me and was an honour to receive. To be recognized as an ally by the community made my heart burst with joy. What many might not know is that there is an national team behind who took the time to review every application to ensure that by giving this recognition of a love is love collectives member that they are indeed safe. .​​​​​​​​

This designation means a lot to me as there was a time that I didn't think my personal beliefs on human rights should have ben part of my business but boy was I wrong. My values as a person are my business values and how I guide the trajectory of my business. With my new brand means new photos and what better day to share new photos than my 35th birthday! This new brand feels so much more me and as I turn 35 I can say I feel more me than ever.

Things I have learned in the 35 years I have been around:
1) Skin care is worth the money
2) There is no such things as too much colour
3) Candles bring great comfort
4) Dogs really do add to your life
5) That the little ones in your life are the most important
6) Trips are so important and needed
7) Go on the impromptu date night and enjoy dating your spouse/life partner
8) Just do the thing - you'll be more mad that you didnt
9) Friends and Family are the foundation of your life
10) Some people are just not going to like you and that's okay

As my birthday wish this year I just want to spend as much time as I can with those that I love, dream big and give someone else the confidence to do the thing or wear the thing! I know life can be scary but doing things that bring you joy everyday is what really matters
