2 years since the release of Insects, a moment that represents a major renewal in my musical career...
Around 2019-2020, after dedicating myself to Mainstream Hardcore for over 15 years, I started feeling less connected with the genre. Let me clarify: I still love Mainstream Hardcore a lot, and many producers still create stunning tracks today! However, after long and deep reflections, I came to the conclusion that the "more brutal" and "less melodic" direction the genre had taken over the years was no longer for me.
Meanwhile, during this period, the amazing evolution of Frenchcore was inspiring me a lot. I started experimenting and quickly regained a sense of total freedom in the studio. With Frenchcore, I could be melodic, I could be crazy, I could be rough. I rediscovered myself as an artist, and today I am truly happy with this switch. โบ๏ธ
It's the first time I talk about that, and it's really not about "this subgenre is better than this subgenre". Nah, it's all hardcore - a beautiful musical family with a multitude of facets, colors, and emotions! ๐ค
However, I had never explained this change in my sound until today. Sometimes, it's worth introspecting yourself, following your inner voice and stepping out of your comfort zone to find peace & happiness!
