As some of you might know, at the beginning of this season, I lost the most important person, role model, best friend, and guiding compass in my life - my sweet grandmother Jeanie.

The relationship we shared was not a typical grandmother-granddaughter bond, but more of a mother-daughter, best friend, and a soul mate all whipped up into one. When I was with her, I felt like I could be 100% my authentic self because she loved and adored me exactly how I was.

This past Friday, I was on site for the beautiful wedding you see pictured here. I knew the brides grandmother was doing a reading during the ceremony, but to be honest, the detail slipped my mind with so many other details for the day (and the 2 weddings we had the following day) spinning around in there.

I had just snuck upstairs at to sneak a few photos for our Instagram page when my wonderful friend invited her up to the microphone to do her reading. Watching Jennilee (our beautiful bride) stand there on her wedding day and share such a special moment with her grandmother absolutely broke me and I fully believe “someone” gave me that little nudge to go upstairs for that shot not for the photo itself, but because I needed to not be the wedding planner standing in a room full of guests blubbering to herself in the midst of her clients ceremony 😂

Jennilee, this moment will be forever embedded in my mind and I feel so privileged to have witnessed your special relationship with your special grandmother.

If you have a grandmother who is still earth side tonight, pick up the phone and call her, get in your car and drive over to give her a hug and listen to her stories, or book that next trip to go and visit them. Sending all of my love to all of your sweet little Nannies tonight 🤍
