🌺🐢 The 4th Annual Hawaiian Shirt Gala Silent Auction is officially LIVE! 🎉

The team will be on the ground in Abbotsford on Saturday supporting this fantastic annual event, with all proceeds benefitting 's Mental Health Initiatives. This non-profit organization is based in BC, but accessible Canada-wide, and raises vital funds to help individuals access affordable counselling and mental health support 🧠💙

We're ecstatic to be supporting the 4th year of this event, and you can join us on this journey by:

Edmonton Corporate Challenge is back and campier than ever — and we’re so excited to be part of the fun again at Camp Corporate Challenge 2025!

We’ve been lucky to play a role in this incredible event for many years now, teaming up with our amazing friends at TNT Events, who’ve been making the magic happen since day one. From planning to ex*****on (and the occasional s’more), we’re thrilled to help bring the Games to life for another season.

Sledge Hockey Day 2025 🏒
All Ages. All Abilities. All Fun! 👏

Sledge Hockey Day is a community event organized by the Robin Hood Association to promote inclusivity and support people with developmental disabilities. It features a fun, non-competitive sledge hockey tournament between RHA teams and corporate/community teams. The event also offers various free family-friendly activities, like "Try It!" sledge free-skate and Zamboni close-ups.

KGE Inc. is thrilled to be back supporting Robin Hood Association at Sledge Hockey Day 2025! We'll be onsite at Millennium Place tomorrow, so come by and say hi 👋 and see for yourself what Robin Hood Association and Sledge Hockey Day is all about!

We don’t post enough but now that summer’s ended, we’re hard at work with MANY events this month, including:

🏡 Community & showhome events for in Edmonton & Area (photo in this post of some of the team at our early September event at Quarry Landing!)
🌺 The Hawaiian Shirt Gala in support of in Abbotsford this weekend
💄 A trip to Toronto to be on-site for a retail client conference for some of the team next week
🌏 Planning for upcoming client events in San Francisco, Austin, Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal, the Dominican Republic… and that’s just in the next few months!

Every fall we get new and exciting opportunities and this year is no exception. While we’re busy, we’re always up to chat about a new project or collaboration, so if you have something in mind - say hello!

🏆Today's the day! 🏆 Season 32 of Edmonton and Area Corporate Challenge starts NOW! 🤩🎉

We've been working alongside the Corporate Challenge team for months to prepare all of the exciting events and challenges that take place from May 15-June 9th. We can't wait to cheer on more than 100 companies as they go head to head in friendly, corporate competition!

Prepping us for our dream job of the Olympics 😉! We hope to see you there Edmonton! 🙌👔💪

We have A LOT to catch up on here but for now the team is looking forward to GO WEST 2024 starting on Sunday!

We’ve been hard at work for months now with our friends at to help put this event together and can’t wait to see everyone on-site! It’s gonna be a great couple days of networking with the event industry, new ideas, entertainment, fantastic food, great education, and so much more.

Team Update Part 2 👏💜

We don't have just one additional staff member to welcome, but two!

Alleah Boisvert joined KGE Inc in May of this year and jumped right into the thick of Corporate Challenge. It was a busy start but gave her a great glimpse into the wild world of events right off the bat!

Alleah's marketing background and writing experience made her a natural fit for some of KGE's marketing-focused clients. Alleah was the voice behind much of the on-site social media for Edmonton and Area Corporate Challenge this year (as well as working on-site for several events in May/June) and she's working on a variety of marketing projects for Avillia Developments Ltd along with anything else that comes her way through the rest of the summer before she heads back to class in the fall. We're so happy to have added Alleah to our team!

Meet Alleah below! ⬇️⬇️

"Hey, I’m Alleah! I joined Kristin’s team in 2023 as a Marketing & Event Assistant. As a marketing student, I’m interested in taking on various projects and dipping my toes into different atmospheres. Event Planning seemed like an ideal route for the variety I crave!

I completed my Marketing diploma at NAIT in 2022 and am working toward obtaining my BBA. During the school year, I’m a Senior Editor for NAIT’s school newspaper, the NAIT Nugget. My areas of interest include public relations, social media marketing, journalism, and writing and editing. Although I’m well-versed in Canadian Press Style guidelines, I am an Oxford comma advocate.

My favourite aspect of events is using the marketing skills I’ve learned in school while taking advantage of my many years of experience in customer service. I’ve done everything from veterinary reception to bartending at a local brewery – it feels great to jump into the marketing side of events and put my creativity and problem-solving skills to the test!

Outside of work, you can find me snuggling with my black cat, enjoying a craft beer, watching anime, or taking a walk in my neighbourhood while listening to some weird, niche genre of rock or indie."

Team Update! 🚨🎉

You've already seen Chelsea at events on our socials, but we are long overdue for an official introduction.

Chelsea Spencer started with the KGE Inc team earlier this year in an administrative capacity and quickly made the jump to project work! Now we are so excited to have her on board with our growing team as an Administrative & Event Assistant. She's working closely with Kristin for many different clients and is the team lead on BeMorr Society's Hawaiian Shirt Gala.

Get to know Chelsea below! ⬇️⬇️

"Hi, I’m Chelsea! After spending time working on a vegetable farm, at a dog kennel, serving, bartending, you name it, I decided to go to post secondary to find my “forever” career. Turns out that didn’t work out as well as I had hoped. I graduated with a Diploma from NAIT’s Biological Sciences Technology program, worked in a lab for a few years, then realized that it wasn’t really “my thing.” I switched gears once again to working in warehouses over a period of 3 years… again realizing that also was not “my thing.”

Party and event planning for my friends and family has always been something I would get excited about and go all out for. Knowing this, when I had the chance to take on an internship in 2020 with a wedding and event planner, I jumped at the opportunity.

After meeting Kristin and learning that I have experience and a shared passion, Kristin offered me a position with KGE. I once was someone who you would refer to as a “Jack of all trades” and now I am happy to be KGE’s Admin & Event Assistant. My journey to this position was no straight shot, but I am so excited to have found the chance to work in events. Being able to explore my creativity while also being methodical creates exactly the balance I need in a workplace.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, petting dogs, eating tacos and cake, drinking margaritas, and reading books."

The KGE Team is getting ready for the start of Edmonton and Area Corporate Challenge this week! We'll be at the Kick Off Pep Rally tomorrow at the RE/MAX Field, and you'll also see our team helping out at other Corporate Challenge events throughout May and June. We're excited to be part of another year of Corporate Challenge festivities!

Our team had so much fun this year collaborating with the Robin Hood Association on their Sledge Hockey Day event on March 25 at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park!

It was exciting to see this event come back after a few years away and it was bigger and better than ever. Our team was involved in every aspect of the event from committee coordination to planning, logistics, volunteers, fundraising, and more.

Anywhere. Any Trail. 🌲

On Saturday, April 22 < 🌎Earth Day🌿> we'll be getting outside with BeMorr Society in support of mental health & su***de awareness with the Wandering Warriors Hike.

BeMorr is a charity very important to Kristin's heart as this organization was created in the name of her cousin Brook Morrison after his su***de in 2020. BeMorr works to break down barriers - financial, social, or any other kind - for those with mental health issues to get the support they need.

Want to participate in the hike? Head on over and register, and get outside on Saturday to hike for mental health in whatever way you choose. Kristin is also fundraising for the event (donations over $25 are eligible for a tax receipt).
