This project-based contract will allow the right candidate to spearhead the day-to-day operations and logistics of a province-wide virtual fitness fundraising event for one of our non-profit clients. Led by the Managing Director, you will be a part of a fun, collaborative and goal-driven team as we bring to life this event in May 2022.
As the Event Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a large role in the development and ex*****on of this event working cross-functionally with stakeholders across the event. You’ll join our fast-growing team and make an immediate impact on the success of this event. About the Role
With guidance from the Managing Director, you’ll strategize, plan and execute a province-wide virtual fitness fundraising event.
You will set clear goals and priorities for the events program and proactively communicate objectives, results, and performance.
You’ll work directly with leadership to execute the strategy for our event investments to drive programs that increase engagement and interest.
Assist in the recruitment of event support staff; train, coach and motivate the team, where required.
You will build a strong partnership with the sponsorship sales team, enabling all parties to execute their portion of the event to the greatest standard.
You will work cross-functionally with the team and ensure every detail is accounted for.
The software we use; Google Suite, ClickUp, Slack, Microsoft
Candidate may work remote, within GVRD
9-month Contract (15-20 hours per week, on average)
Candidates will be classified as independent contractor and responsible for their own taxes.
About You
You have 5+ years of event management experience in community or large corporate events
You have an exceptional time, resource management, and organizational skills.
You have proactive project management expertise involving multiple moving details and cross-departmental contributors.
You have strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Proven track record in successfully executing large-scale projects.

Experience in working with non-profit organizations
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time while keeping poise and grace under pressure
