WHAT I’VE LEARNED AS A BRIDE…almost a year into the process.

• wedding planning is a HUGE undertaking …and this is my full time job. I know how to navigate it and what to expect. I have grown so much understanding from my client’s perspective as I walk personally in a similiar journey

• you learn who is truly in your circle. The right people will show up and be there. They will show interest and support you.

• I need dedicated wedding planning time. Between kids, work and life I love that Marcus plans dedicated planning dates for us to be fully committed to the topic we’re discussing

• I didn’t have my full vendor team already picked out as most assume and some vendors we’re still trying to choose as we combine interests and priorities. Discussing priorities and continuing to check in is so important.

• it’s easy to lose sight of why. Being a planner, I want a day that reflects me while still being trendy and a wedding people will love but ultimately it’s about us and no one else. From the beginning I’ve had my non negotiables and I’m so proud that I’ve stuck to them. Ex. I want to spend my morning with Marcus so that’s what I’m doing. Why wait til later to experience my favourite day with him.

Why am I sharing this?

I want you to know I understand. Planning is fun but also many other emotions. As an expert in this field I know how to navigate it and want to share that advice with you!
