It wasn’t the music that first captured Patrick Kelly’s attention as he surveyed the packed dance floor moving to the rhythmic sounds of Doc Martin back in 1996, it was how it affected the crowd. Controlling and manipulating a dance floor soon became an obsession. Patrick’s early career was spent collecting vinyl from any genre that peaked his interest. From Drum & Bass, and Breaks, to Down tempo, and Tech, there was never enough to satiate him. As time passed he became focused on the rhythmic patterns known as House Music. Known for his smooth mixes and long transitions PK has had 2 of his mixes featured on Beatport after reaching number 1 on the Beatport DJ charts. His seamless mixing between Deep, Tribal, and Tech House, have helped him manufacture a style all his own. Patrick Kelly's notoriety has gained him regular spots working with the city's best promotion houses including Intimate, Blueprint, Leave Us Lost, Body Language and more recently teaming with Seattle’s highly acclaimed label Viva Recordings. He has had the privilege to play alongside the likes Booka Shade, DJ T, The Crystal Method, Halo Vargas, Sunshine Jones, Djuma Soundsystem, Giom, Alex E, and Pillow Talk, to name just a few. During the summers months PK can be found on the festival circuit playing the likes of Electric Love, Astral Harvest, Tall Tree, A Life Awakened, and Bass Fest. On top of being a long time player in Vancouver's underground club and party scene, Patrick’s passion for higher quality music, events, and promoting music through local artists have lead him into promotions and event organizing. Patrick is the resident and founder of the weekly FINE Deep House event series, a monthly host of Vancouver's longest running nights in Open Dex, and is the Director and co-Founder of the Festivus Music Festival, an outdoor event in its 15th year. Bringing a unique and exclusive feel to the festival circuit, Festivus has quickly gained notoriety as one of the best small festivals on the west coast.
