Look at what pulled up tonight...The Paul R. Tregurtha (US) took shelter from the upcoming windstorm expected Monday morning. On the anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald no one is taking any chances on the lake.

The vessel is close to shore. We heard a weird noise from outside. When we looked outside the window it looked like a city. Safe travels to St. Clair!

It was a quick stop for the Ponant Le Champlain at Port of Thunder Bay this morning. She left the dock early on beautiful morning.

It was a busy week in the Port of Thunder Bay. Mid week we saw the arrival of the Octantis followed by the Polaris arriving Thursday evening. Two large cruise ships graced our port.

We were thrilled to capture the arrival and activities around the dock. The Octantis departure Friday night with a bronze sunset was spectacular.

Timelapse of tonight’s storm coming in. Slow moving at first then it picks up. There was lighting but the sped up timelapse missed the flashes

With the proper clearance, we were able to get close to the Michipicoten as it arrived at the Keefer Terminal safely.

It's days like today that you appreciate the dedicated work of our coast guard, rescue teams, tug services and Port of Thunder Bay. The Michipicoten slowly made it's way to the Keefer terminals after listing near Grand Marais.

Incidents like these require elevated approval to capture. Both flight clearance and harbour clearance was in place before flying. It's nice to get the shot, but not without distracting from safety personnel.

Last night was the first night we saw two cruise ships in the harbour. Didn't get the "arriving early, leaving early" memo though. Look closely, you'll see the Octantis leaving

Still it was a great night to showcase our beautiful city.

It was a "photo-finish" for the first ship in port for 2024. The Harvest Spirit made it through the north gap to the Richardson Elevator to officially open the season for the second year in a row. The warm weather made for an early season by about a week and a half. Here's to another prosperous shipping season!

The Port of Thunder Bay will have the traditional top hat ceremony Sunday.

We were thrilled to be asked to produce the video of the opening ceremonies. It was a cool night but you'd never know it from all the smiles. Nice to see the community step up for this fabulous event!

This morning's fog on the lake made for some spectacular views!

With last night's spectacular sunset, we had to follow up this morning. Nature didn't disappoint.
